I was thinking the same thing. Alexis is going to assume she's responsible but we don't even know if there was a bullet in her gun. Blake is going to feel responsible because he'll assume it was his henchman who shot Mark. After all the finger pointing it will be revealed that it was the Flores family who wanted to keep Cristal and Mark apart.

I went back and rewatched the scene. Although a few bullets fell, she did load (at least) one into the gun.

I'm pretty sure it'd just be a click...
That's what I thought.
SO...if the gun clicked then Alexis knows that whatever it was that happened had nothing to do with her. Unless she mistakes the sound of the real gunshot for her not-gunshot, and considering her state of mind I guess that's not too far-fetched.

It's also possible that she fired the gun, bullet and all, and didn't hit anything or anyone. And then the bullet inside Mark's head came from a weapon with a silencer (I'd imagine this is something a professional would use, regardles who hired him).
It's also possible that the hitman missed his target and it was Alexis' bullet after all. Or maybe there was another person hiding...behind a tree or something.

I am leaning more towards this idea.

That revolver that Alexis took from the gun collection looked like something out of a classic Western movie, and I'm sure a professional killer would use something more modern with a different type of bullet. Once they pull the bullet from Mark, it should be easy to determine whether what came out of that gun ended up in the (once-) handsome Mr. Jennings's head. Given the...um, splatter, I think Mark was the victim of a hunting rifle-type gun, and not a revolver.

The baby's probably not going to survive, but I hope there was no permanent damage to Cristal's hair. Fallon would be devastated.

Despite the cliffhanger being exciting I couldn't get behind it as Alexis just becomes more pathetic every week, and then to top it all off now she wants to kill herself. She's become a total loser. Why would Blake or anyone want to be with this petty, bitter, basket case? Original Alexis may have been bitter but she was dynamic and powerful which made her attractive. This one is just a lame freeloader that it's hard to give a shit about.

Could Celia be the killer? NuCristal says that they were friends, but we don't know that for sure. I think she kidnapped Celia when she was in the hospital and then stole a body for the cremation.

Could Celia be the killer?

Are we going to go the crazy route now? If we stop horsing around, it is obvious the most likely suspect is Neal McVane in a blonde wig and a killer red dress. But this being peach Dynasty, it is probably Cliff Barnes in a wig and a dress (and a cane). And someone's Instagram story (Bo's?) has him captured on the background.

Actually, considering there was splatter the bullet exited the skull.

Two clips are worth two thousand words (not created by me)

What a surprise! The WC people have improved themselves: I see they got Sarah Jessica Parker to do a cameo in this episode!!

Even if it turns out that Alexis didn't shoot I hope the truth will be revealed after a big catfight.
