Alexis is somewhere else to get her face done. Adam must have slipped that he was gonna give her Fallon’s face and Alexis has warned Fallon about it
Hey, I'll take that. When Fallon got around to reading Liam's book about their relationship, she was in Alexis's hospital room. It felt as if some scenes had been cut explaining why she was there, like she had gone to be at Alexis's bedside when she had her surgery and when she was in post-op care. Nice touch, since nobody else said a thing about the surgery, IIRC, or about wanting to be there for her. But like I said, there was no explanation of why she was there, and Alexis was not seen in the room. We were left to assume she started reading the manuscript and sat there reading while Alexis went under the knife. She spoke aloud as if Alexis was in the room (asleep, perhaps), though.

Unfortunately I don't think there has been enough suspicion on Fallon's part to merit her thinking too deeply about Alexis's accident and/or Adam's possible involvement, and then pulling a switcheroo. I also don't think Fallon could do anything to simulate the swollen face that we saw revealed, unless she took a handful of prednazone. :D

Interesting. That would be a nice touch, and could return the shark to the water for a while. In fact that could be a reveal ala Twin Peaks, very over the top but kind of reasonable, starting the War of the Carringtons (Dallas & Revenge anyone?)

Alexis managed to convince Hank to get a healthy finger amputated in return for several million dollars. Maybe Adam has persuaded a con-woman to go under the knife in return for several million dollars. What if the real Alexis is recuperating in a clinic in Switzerland or some other far flung place?

A brilliant solution! And actually not completely unlikely (if they wanted to do it that is) given the precedent of Adam's Paris shenanigans. It would allow the 'real' new Alexis to be revealed without too many problems and would neatly revisit the Rita/Krystle plot to boot. I like it!!

What I would like to know: It it a voice over or is Elizabeth Gillies imitating Nicollette's voice?

Here´s a clue to whose voice it was:

When I first heard the voice at the end, I thought it was Nicollette Sheridan. But when I heard it a second time, I now think that it absolutely could be Elizabeth Gillies's voice. She is EXTREMELY talented. Listen to her sing. It could be her.

A neat inversion (or rather neat parallel) of the Alexis-Hank situation for one thing I'd imagine.
But Adam doesn't need anyone. He is a Carrington and Blake thinks the world of his long-lost son. He's blackmailing Alexis, she doesn't have any power over him.
Who needs to be conned in this scenario? Sammy Jo?

I don't think Alexis ever gave Hank any of the money she promised. Their plan blew up in the final two episodes of season one, and he set the fire as a parting shot because he didn't get anything out of the scheme (neither did Alexis). I don't think he has the money (or the brains, frankly) to convince someone to undergo surgery like that; I don't think any amount of money would convince someone to voluntarily get their face burned off. Unless he enlisted ultimate nutbag Claudia Blaisdel? Nah....

However, if a switch was made after Alexis had the surgery, then there is the whole issue of how did someone find a woman who looked like an ersatz Fallon? Did Abby Ewing recommend the same PI that provided her with a Ciji Dunne lookalike named Cathy Geary? Is there perhaps an agency who specializes in these things, like Doppelgangers-R-Us? Alexis has no means to enlist such an agency, either.

I do like the idea of Alexis secretly recuperating overseas...in Moldavia? She could find a rich, terminally ill man there, surely. :eck:
