I certainly cannot claim to be a film buff. Another one I have not seen a single film with. I have Grand Hotel on dvd (Garbo fan as I am), but I haven't seen it yet. So I'm out this round too.

I've almost always been a Joan Crawford fan. I find her terribly fascinating to read and discuss, and I typically find her performances well-deserving and under-appreciated.

Her first husband is suspected for the murder but Mildred Pierce insists he didn't do it and tells her story to the police in flashbacks. The movie is an american film noir movie that is based on a novel by James M. Cain. The movie is directed by Michael Curtiz. It also stars Jack Carson and Zachary Scott.

Stellan Skarsgård is a really good guy. I've listened to him talk about his opinions and he's got very good ideals. He's well educated and very humane. Extra credit for the role choices he makes - it's not money that matters, it's interest for what's different, fun or passion by others. He's taken roles where he only has made 100 Dollars.
