Southern Cross Ranch Up For Sale

[pete lashmar]

I think I'll pass on this one, reminds me too much of James, Vanessa & Michelle i.e: the excess wood is just a bit too much for me.

I'll keep saving for when Southfork comes up for sale (and get the builders in to renovate it to the interior we know & love).

J.R's scene of death room is just so damn morbid and in bad taste IMO.:mo:

Note both Southfork and Southern Cross share something in common, outdoor staircases.

Odd that we rarely saw the staircase side of Southfork being used. I do however like the outdoor sweeping staircase of Southern Cross but prefer the interior staircase of Southfork. What is it with staircases that add such dramatic effect to scenes? The same could be said for the staircase at the Carrington mansion.

Perhaps a new thread covering the best and worst staircases used in television series would be appropriate.

Southfork's exterior rear staircase was added after the show was over.

But by almost never showing that side of the house, the viewer was permitted the fantasy that all those guest rooms with windows on all four walls could somehow work architecturally.

That's much more attractive inside than I'd imagined.

I agree, you get the idea that's kinda how they wanted Southfork on TNT to look but they just cocked it up.
