Let’s hope a few old ones comeback too, the number of Sugden’s needs to rise.

I’d like for Daz to return, he’s been gone for over a decade now and was good for Victoria, plus he’s been away for such a long time now that you could recast him.

I also think it’s time Jean Tate returned, especially as she has to be in her late teens now and you could write in that her mother; Zoe has passed away, that way you could also bring her father Scott back.

The 2010s was a bit of an up and down decade for the show and it needs to get back to its roots

Mark Womack has joined the cast as new character DI Malone, a police detective with a dark past.

Reece Dinsdale is also joining as Paul, a man from Mandy Dingle's past.

Both coming this spring.

Duncan Preston who has played Laurel's dad Doug Potts for 13 years is leaving Emmerdale. His last episode is next week.
