I do tend to, but, when they pop up on your own threads and Facebook groups, they're hard to avoid.

I'm half expecting the camera operator's name to pop in conversation sometimes.

Being 36 and a teacher in upper secondary school, I seriously cannot understand what a teacher can see in a much younger pupil. It's perverted - they still look like kids!

Isn't that the point? There is teachers who take those positions purely so that they have access to kids. One of the most well known pedo hunting groups Guardians of the North has caught several teachers and a few teaching assistants over the years. (As well as ex-coppers, ex-teachers and other 'trustworthy' individuals.)

Soaps are meant to reflect real life - so they should cover these stories but in a respectful and legal manner. (actors over the age of 18 playing the youngster and no really explicit scenes that would blatantly encourage sex offenders or normalise such perverted interactions with children - to be honest the dramatic storyline could be told with no sexual contact anyway)

The Bethany storyline in Corrie is a good example of how to cover this sort of issue.
