It's not that you've done bad, but that some characters in your list are not in the list from the first post.


I keep going back and forth thinking I'm going mad, but Miss Ellie, Bender Bending, Kelly Garrett and a few others in your vote are not valid.

I found it impossible to compare characters from different eras so I've chosen to go (more or less) in chronological order on the basis that the nostalgia value is highest for the ones I grew up watching.

I thought one could choose from all the ones everyone voted, including my own. Miss Ellie has been voted here too, by the way. Please just delete the wrong ones. My little head is about to explode due to the heat wave here, and I can´t even write on the board "Ome always blames me for everything, Ome always blames me for everything..." (It´s a joke too). I feel like you'd already done most of the work. It was getting a bit tricky to narrow the characters down to just twenty, but then I was inspired by the following...

To make things a bit more interesting/tricky for myself, I've excluded all the prime time US '80s soap characters cos I feel like I've voted them to death in the past, which means there's a few in there I never would have predicted!

Excellent idea. It's possible I have also done just this.

I've thoroughly enjoyed all the voting, I've never given much thought to my favourite TV characters before this and found it fascinating.

I'm not criticizing anyone's taste,but I am surprised Claudia Whittaker of Knots Landing beat out Greg Sumner abd Laura of KL, Bobby, Jock and Miss Ellie of Dallas.

@Jimmy Todd I think the reason Claudia made the list while they didn't was because we were only allowed to vote for one character/decade. Also just one character from the same show in the semi-finals. So it doesn't necessarily mean that more people likes Claudia better than Greg, Laura, Bobby, Jock and Miss Ellie. It just means that she was one of the few Knots characters from the 1990s that we could vote on.

So it would be more correct to say that she beat out Nick, Kate and Vanessa from Knots Landing!
