1. Linda Gray

Forever and always, she will probably be my favourite actor of all-time. I think this performance is one of her very best. (Also, an honourable mention to Josh Henderson because he matched the quality of Linda's performance in this scene.)

2. Larry Hagman

For me, as much as I loved J.R. in all his nastiness and crooked business deals, his best performances were the down-and-out scenes after Jock died or the times when he realised how much he had f*cked up. One of my favourite scenes is when he's drunk and terrorises Sue Ellen about custody of John Ross in season 5.

3. Victoria Principal

Victoria's performance is always so meticulously delivered that I have always loved Pam, even when she makes the most stupid, selfish decisions... like this one. Somehow, in spite of Jenna being the one who lost Bobby and left alone to raise a second child by herself for the second time, Pam is the one I feel most sorry for.

4. Barbara Bel Geddes

When I first watched Dallas, I found her style difficult to watch and almost unenjoyable - or unbelievable - because it was so old-school (at least, that's the way it's always seemed to me) but, when I rewatch scenes, I have a whole new appreciation for her.

5. Susan Howard

I think Susan is such an underrated performer in Dallas and I'm mad that Donna didn't seem to be a factor in the TNT series. Early Donna especially was that b*tch... "I wanted to see what the competition looks like... with clothes on."

Yeah, they're both brilliant. I couldn't whittle my choices down to five, but when this category first came up, my first thought was Josh Henderson in this scene.

I hoped that Ken would place higher but well, this poll´s results have been quite fair to be honest! I want more polls NOW!!

Well according to this we ranked him as the number one actor ahead of Larry who a lot of us have been in agreement about that he was robbed by the Emmys. He should have won an Emmy ages ago and according to this so should Ken! ;)

I am not surprised that BBG was ranked highest though, after all she did win an Emmy! ;)

I am also not surprised to see Academy Award winner Jane Wyman on our list or Tony winner Julie Harris. That generation sure knew how to act and they were so classy.:hat:

Linda is of course also very underrated. I still think she would have had a good chance of winning an Emmy if the dream season hadn't turned out to be a dream since her performance when Sue Ellen hit rock bottom was just awesome.

Loved the poll!
I think they there would have been more Emmy nominations and wins if these shows weren't deemed "just soaps" and the snob factor took over. The winners of this poll and many of the other actors gave performances just as good or better than anyone else on t.v.
