If Hunter Tylo really doesn't want to return, then I'm open for it. Hunter Tylo had no chemistry with Thorsten Kaye so it would have been difficult to recreate the classic Brooke / Ridge / Taylor triangle anyway. I assume Krista Allen had a screen test with Thorsten Kaye to see if there's chemistry.

Another recast of an iconic character won't bring back those fans who stopped watching B&B for sure, but maybe even the return of Hunter Tylo (and/ or Ronn Moss) would bring those former viewers back.

Hard for me to see anyone else in the role of Taylor to be honest. To me there is only one. Nothing against Krista or Thorsten but I’m picturing their scenes together and if it’s not Hunter and Ronn it’s really not going to hold my interest.

Hunter turned down offers to return, so they decided to recast.

I think it was needed. Either kill Taylor off or recast, because Taylor would never abandon her family. It was ridiculous that she didn't return when Thomas almost died, when Steffy was in rehab, when Steffy got married and when Steffy had her son.

Maybe NuTaylor will inform Steffy that Hayes is not her maiden name.

The old feud between Tylo and Kimberlin Brown probably helped Tylo decide not to return, since they would be working together a lot in this current story.
