Has anyone seen this series?

I've recently finished watching this and it's so good. It's so well made, from the writing to the acting, the cinematography and the editing, it's a triumph. It's hard to imagine a series about a girl playing chess could hold your attention for 7 episodes but it's compelling. I really recommend watching this.

They're contemplating the idea of a season 2, and Anya Taylor, the lead actress talks about what she'd wish for her character.

Maybe I am the only one on this, but season 1 was near perfection, and the ending was so satisfying, that I think we really should stay there. Do I need a second season that could potentially damage the characters and their stories?

Yes, it's just because it was so successful they are talk about a season 2 but it's totally unnecessary. The mini series had a beginning, middle and end that really does not require expanding upon.

Exactly. And the main character is in such a good place, in the end, after all that pain and loneliness she faced since she was kid, that I think they should leave her to that.
But will Netflix give up such a successful show?

I was so hesitant to watch because I didn't think "a show about chess" could really go anywhere but it was really compelling - it definitely spiked an interest in chess (I know I dusted off my old chess board after watching). Not sure how they'd be able to work in a second season but knowing Netflix...
