I have another suggestion for an "of the year" vote to run alongside the Thread of The Year and Post of The Year. My idea may not work so work so feel free to ignore it.
My suggestion is a vote for the Thread of The Year, not just the title of the thread. Telly Talkers would nominate and vote for the whole thread they most enjoyed reading and/or posting to. It can be an thread started in 2022 or one that started in a previous year but people particularly enjoying participating in it during the current year. To be eligible, the thread would have to have new posts in that year. Alternatively, the vote could be just limited to threads started in 2022. People would be voting for the overall content of the thread in 2022, not just one post or the title. The credit for the winner of the vote would go to the person who originally started the thread.
In 2021, my "Thread of The Year" would have been @Mel O'Drama's "Just One More Thing" Columbo thread and I enjoyed reading every post and sharing my thoughts on it too but it didn't really fit into any of the 2 categories we were voting for so it wasn't as widely recognised as it could have been.
