Last night I had a dream (and now I start to sound like one of those characters) about an evil man looking through my windows. Just to harass and frighten me, and it was so intense and violating. Pure evil.

Remember when Laura and Mary Ingalls showed up to soap your windows at the mercantile, @Willie Oleson ? A Halloween prank that went horribly awry, since Laura thought she saw (literally through the soapy window) Nels chop Harriet's head off! There he was, getting everyone's hopes up and it all turns out to be a soapy misunderstanding. Ah, good times.

I remember the scene when Karen and Mack are looking outside the window, trying to figure out what the Williamses are all about. But I'm not sure if there's a shot of them looking to the outside from the inside.

I remember the scene when Karen and Mack are looking outside the window, trying to figure out what the Williamses are all about. But I'm not sure if there's a shot of them looking to the outside from the inside.

There are plenty of shots in the '80s soaps from the inside of characters looking out, but shots from the outside looking in are comparatively rare - although they are more common on KNOTS than on the other shows. Partly, I guess it's because of all those offices in the sky. (One exception I can think of: a DYNASTY Season 3 episode has a really cool shot from outside Alexis's Colby Co office looking in.
