This was a very interesting younger viewers Sci fi series.
Two young kids can sense a time barrier and relive past events at a second world war naval base overrun with Nazis. In a well put together six episode opener, while on vacation with parents Liz and Simon stumble into a deserted naval base and vanish and end up in 1940. There they meet Commander Traynor who they've already met 30 years later at the hotel they're staying at with their parents, so previously in their time line.
Dennis Quilley stars as the two Traynors. Add to this the fact that the mother is psychic and Traynor uses this to communicate with the kids in the past to find out if his earlier self successfully carried out a mission with the help of Liz's father, a young man at the base in 1940. Phew! Confused?
The second six episodes, the kids end up in an alternative future in the Arctic. Here experiments in longevity are taking place, and the head of the project seems a disturbed individual. Liz meets Beth, an over officious woman who to Liz's horror turns out to be her grown up. Then eight episodes in a future Britain turned into a jungle by climate catastrophes, and finally a six part story set in a high security medical facility where cloning and weird experiments are taking place.
Traynor is here too but is not what he seems, and it all climaxes as a twist regarding Traynor is revealed.
