This is a stand-alone list just for my own curiosity.

I want you to rank your favorite 25 actors/actresses of the Old Hollywood era. It doesn't have to be 12 men and 13 women. It can be a list of 20 men and 5 women, or 18 women and 7 men if you like. Gender doesn't matter.

If you cannot come up with 25, less is fine. 25 is just maximum.


Classical Hollywood cinema is a term used in film criticism to describe both a narrative and visual style of film-making which became characteristic of American cinema between the 1910s and the 1960s. Similar or associated terms include classical Hollywood narrative, the Golden Age of Hollywood, Old Hollywood, and classical continuity.

A very solid Top 10. Although she wasn't on my list, I would have expected Marilyn to rank much higher; likewise, a bit surprising to realize neither John Wayne nor Susan Hayward made it onto anyone's lists.
