Was Mark Grayson a stalker?

I
The Ewings had a sense of entitlement, no doubt. Miss Ellie was put off when she found out Jenna was living with Ray and Jenna had not told her. I wanted Jenna to tell Miss Ellie that once Bobby dumped her, Jenna's connection to the Ewings was null and void and to take it up with Ray. I love the character of Miss Ellie, but what Jenna did was no longer her business.
Of course, I also love the character of Pam and I wanted Jenna to slap her across the face when Pam offered to buy her baby. That would have been a gutsy thing for the show to do.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who picked up that the Ewing’s had a sense of entitlement. Virtually all of them were like that from Jock on down and even Pam got that way. Like you said, Jenna had every right to slap the taste out of Pam’s mouth when she suggested that they buy her baby.

yep, Miss Ellie seemed to me that she'd been that way since her early days as the Belle of Southfork. I remember when Bobby and JR were missing in that airplane crash early on, she basically called the head of... whatever department in Texas would conduct a search for a missing plane (aviation or transportation or something) and ordered them to put all their resources on it immediately, 24 hours a day. Or actually got some lower-level guy named Bert, I think, at the airfield to do it, now that I think of it.

Agreed. I never liked Miss Ellie because I thought she was cold/indifferent toward JR, favored his brothers, married Jock for his money (She could at least have been more honest about it), didn't support JR multiple times against Clayton, who was not the honorable man that the scripts suggested, gave away half of Southfork (JR was right about calling Clayton a carpetbagger from San Angelo), tried to destroy Jock's legacy with several attempts to sell Ewing Oil, constantly lectured Jock, JR and even Bobby about how they conducted business, but she was happy to live a life of wealth and privilege that directly resulted from their methods. In the early seasons, it seemed that there was a possibility that Digger might be JR's father - I'm not sure that she ever flatly denied it. Not a knock on BBG, just the character. I would give her some slack for doing all she could since JR and Bobby were in a life-threatening situation, but that's about it.

Interesting. Could you elaborate?
Is it "stealing" Pam from Ray? I wish I knew more backstory to that.
I have to think about this, because Bobby seemed to be rejecting women a lot (Jenna, Holly, Katherine, April at first, a random woman at a bar
after the failed wedding with Jenna)
As Lucy reminded Ray after Bobby and Pam showed up married, while he "was busy gettin' sauced" at the barbeque, Pam and Bobby "were gettin' chummy". Ray was taking Pam for granted, and when she met Bobby, she saw more than what Ray could give her in him. So I'd say Bobby didn't steal her at all. As Alex later told Bobby, if there hadn't already been problems in their marriage, Pam never would have given him a second look.

After dumping Jenna to remarry Pam, he shows up at her house and boutique uninvited and unwanted. Then Pam decides to join him. Creeeepy.
Asking the woman who is pregnant with your child why she didn't tell you that she was pregnant, and wanting to have a discussion with her about what you are going to do about the baby, seems pretty rational to me. Screaming Mimi Jenna was irrational and "creepy".

Bobby dumped her. From that point on, Jenna had every right not to be stalked. Nor did she owe Bobby the time of day, much less discussions and explanations.

I wish Jenna had bounced Miss Ellie out the door of Ray's house.

I think April should have been a stalker -- Bobby's stalker, not his second wife.

Unlike Jenna, Bobby made the right decision for Lucas's sake. He stepped up to the plate to offer financial support for Lucas and being involved in his life, and that's ALL he owed Jenna. Marrying Jenna just because she was pregnant would have compounded the original huge mistake of the pregnancy and made things even worse. Jenna's bitterness and determination to exclude Bobby from Lucas's life was unhealthy and selfish. I've seen the scenario play out, and the kid gets caught in the crossfire of an unhappy marriage and manipulation by the bitter parent. Tom Brady and Bridget Monahan are a shining example of how to do it right for the child's sake . Tom went ahead and married Giesele instead, but he took responsibility for the child and has been an involved father to him. And Tom and Bridget excidly share their son's accomplishments with each other. I'm sure that Bridget wasn't exactly thrilled that the father of her child married a supermodel instead of her, but unlike Jenna, she cared about doing what was in the best interest of her son and let his father be involved in his life.

We must have watched different shows. I don't recall him ever offering any financial support and his biggest concern seemed to be how Lucas's existence would be handled by Pam.

As did Jenna's choice to run off to Europe with Naldo and let Bobby believe he was Charlie's father for years until Pam called her bluff. She blew her chance of ever marrying him.
Bobby shouldn't have proposed to her then. Moving Jenna and Charlie onto Southfork in anticipation of a marriage that isn't going to happen because she "blew her chance" is really crappy behavior. No wonder Jenna doesn't want him around Lucas. He treats children poorly if they don't belong to him and Pam.

LOL, Jenna is the queen of "really crappy behavior". She had an affair with a married man, made the guy she ran out on bail her out of the mess she created including paying for a home and stuff for a kid that wasn't even his, tried to break up said guy's marriage twice, and then shacked up with and married his brother. Pam should have knocked Jenna on her ass when she had the audacity to say "I hope you don't mind." after Bobby signed the condo over to her.

No, I think Bobby's behavior outdoes Jenna's. He wasn't forced to do anything for Charlie, including promising her a future where he and her mother were a married couple. Her marriage to Ray isn't relevant.

More on the subject, Bobby was a stalker.

This is what my brain said to me when Jenna showed up in my screen:

Bobby should not have been stalking the dumb bitch and her daughter.
