I can´t stand either how they are judged by their looks only. They seem to be in high spirits (even Michele, who is living in the middle of Titanic!), but bringing in Sandra Bernhardt, who has zero to do with our show, was a misstep. What´s next, a Zoom call with Rosie O´Donnell? I wouldn´t listen (or watch!) to that.

On the other side, I´d like to know if you are having little disappointments with their opinions and way of expressing things in general. I think that I´m more and more Team Abby and less and less, Team Donna. What about you?

Beware this video Michele fans! It might give you the impression that she only enjoyed the first 4 seasons and stayed on only for her comedy routine with Dobson! (=she did it for the money)

I thought it was a tasteless thing to say. I hope they give him equal time for rebuttal. Since they were drinking wine during the interview, maybe her tongue just got ahead of her brain...lol

Anyway, I did enjoy this interview a little bit more than all the others. Ms. Phillips always seems to be about to drop the f*** bomb and tell all the s*** nobody talks about re the show. She comes through as the most honest guest so far...

About the Gary/Ted question, it´s ironic how she hated the almost plot of Anne´s affair with Gary, because we all hated that for the last 40 years... for the right reasons.

as a fan of KL, I prefer letting the things as they were when the show was on on air, I don't like the interviews of donna or Michele nowadays , in fact I don't want to know what donna mills thinks or what she has to say about Kl, and the same with Michele Lee. I adore KL, I adore the characters in KL world , everything outside has no interest for me.

as a fan of KL, I prefer letting the things as they were when the show was on on air, I don't like the interviews of donna or Michele nowadays , in fact I don't want to know what donna mills thinks or what she has to say about Kl, and the same with Michele Lee. I adore KL, I adore the characters in KL world , everything outside has no interest for me.

It does get a little dull when they tell the same stories over again but I just take it as an opportunity to spend time with old friends and don't really expect anything more.

One of the unexpected pleasures of Donna's chat with Morgan Fairchild and her sister was hearing an anecdote (for the first time) about Donna's time on the daytime soap Love Is A Many Splendored Thing. She and Leslie Charleson played sisters Laura and Iris Donnely, who were considered the "breakout characters" of the relatively short-lived (and mostly forgotten) soap. Leslie C wisely advised Donna that they needed to capitalize on their popularity by going into contract negotiations together because, as Donna said, the show might could survive the departure/recast of one sister, but not both. They demanded (and got) outs in their contracts that allowed them to take primetime, guest-starring gigs---which they both knew would allow them to move into bigger, better roles eventually. Both Leslie and Donna ended up doing just that, spending the better part of the 1970s guest-starring on all the popular primetime shows. In Donna's case she got Play Misty for Me and ended up on a steeper career trajectory than Charleson....but it's pretty clear that if Charleson had not been looking to the future (for both of them), Mills may not have had the sort of career she had.
Leslie Charleson returned to soaps in 1977 to play General Hospital's Monica Quartermaine until Charleson's death earlier this year, and Monica's death onscreen was just written in last month. So hearing this anecdote about the debt that Donna Mills owed Charleson for some excellent career advice "way back when" was well-placed.

Thanks for the info. Actually they previously talked about that in the Fairchild sisters´ podcast, a few days earlier. Now I want Morgan Brittany being interviewed by la Fairchild, and Mary Crosby in the next show.

The downside of a podcast is if a fan has trouble understanding that the performer is a completely different entity than the character they played.

It could explain the misguided/toxic viewpoint of the Grand Dame of soap operas Irna Phillips.. that insisted that the performers were the characters even though individuals like Rosemary Prinz and Eileen Fulton rebelled against that with taking different roles, and always being interviewed as themselves, etc.

Also, all three of them were born in the 1940s and grew up in vastly different times so when they tell stories/memories of the past.. you can't clutch your 2020s pearls.

With that said, the Michelle Phillips tale about Shakelford had JVA and Donna in a state of shock because I'm sure those two had a completely different view of him.

Well considering that she was married to James Farentino for 17 years and he's the only man she's had a child with I can see why she would feel that way. But I'm sure it's not fun for her current husband to hear. But then again since James Farentino is dead it's not like she'll up and leave him for her ex or anything like this.

I really don't see how this is any different from Priscilla Presley's claim that Elvis was the love of her life despite having lived 20 years with another man later on. Only difference was that Cilla had a baby with her new love but she never married him.

I'll speak up for Michelle Phillips: We all have our ideals when it comes to characters and actors. I've heard from one or two cast members that Ted was far from the nice guy many believe him to be. He was often rude. And this was precisely what German newspaper articles reported on in the early 90s. Among other things, they said, "He is often brusque, his charm is brittle, and he is not the embodiment of kindness..."

They couldn't challenge her perception but they did seem shocked when she said it.

I watched the latest instalment Morgan Fairchild on Sunday afternoon. Less than an hour after listening to her story about her house being flooded due to faulty construction, there was a sudden thunderstorm and heavy rainfall and I was watching water running down inside my living room wall. Not a flood by any stretch of the imagination but a strange coincidence.

That's great. And I'm really happy to see other former KL cast members interviewed. Unfortunately, these days, we hear familiar stories over and over again. Lisa Hartman, too, keeps repeating what we feel like we've heard countless times since the interviews at the block party in 1993. In my opinion, Teri Austin has been neglected in interviews and retrospectives for far too long.

This was definitely my favourite to date. How lovely to see them all catching up and reminiscing.

This is only the second I've wanted to watch beginning to end and this time I felt it could have run much longer. John's perspective on the series - as actor, writer and director - is truly valuable and feels very fresh. There was some really interesting ground covered, not just Knots stories - such as John suggesting killing off Sid Fairgate in the writers' room - but also talking about filming The Trial Of Lee Harvey Oswald at the actual locations. And it even got into discussion of how AI is affecting the industry.

There were a few moments where I kind of wished he'd been given even more free reign. A couple of times he was asked a question about a different topic just as I wanted to hear him continue talking about the current one.
