Season 4 is a perfect Christmas/winter watch.
The story takes place in Alaska and there's all kinds of eco-folk horror things going on. Very spooky, and Jodie Foster is the only actress who can make the F-word sound interesting.
The victims are all men and the town appears to be ruled by the matriarchy. They all hate each other therefore it doesn't look like they were trying to make a progressive point.
It's different but also very addictive and I wonder how the seemingly supernatural events are going to be explained.
Maybe the evil tycoonette who owns the Mining Company has something to do with it. Three more episodes so I won't be able to finish it tonight. Dammit.

Within 10 minutes I had added 50 titles to my refreshed netflix watch list.
Some of them are must-watches like FARGO season 5 and BLACK MIRROR 6 & 7, and yet I was instantly drawn to the film STEVE.

It's a non-stop crisis situation, kinda like a mini-OZ, and it's very well staged and filmed.
I haven't seen much of Cillian Murphy, a season of Peaky Blunders and maybe something else I can't remember. I had no idea he could be so good but he's very much on my radar now. Also starring Tracey Ullman, terrific performances from the whole cast.

Watched the first (and my last) episode of THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER.
Story, cast, characters, dialogue, sets...it's awful. Gay couples everywhere, none of the characters are believable as members of a high-corporate family and overall it looks like a low budget Ryan Murphy show with writer's block.

It's hard to believe that this was made by the same man who created the magnificent MIDNIGHT MASS.
