What was the last film you watched?

[Spooky Owl!]

The original SALEM'S LOT (1979) with David Soul, James Mason, Geoffrey Lewis, and footstamp-stealing-cutie Lance Kerwin, based on a Steven King novel.

As I had recalled from when I first saw it, it's waaay above average for most made-for-TV movies at the time. It has a nice, mature, leisurely atmosphere, focusing on mood, good acting, and a sense of location, instead of brain dead pseudo-scares (at least, the full length 183 minute version does -- a chopped-up version was released to theatres later).

And it's so nice that Mr Soul lost that beer-&-mashed-potatoes gut from Season 4 of STARSKY & HUTCH.

[Karin Schill]

Change of Habit (1969) with Elvis Presley and Mary Tyler Moore. It was actually really good.

[Maryann]

The last 2 movies were:

Open Water
sad/horror movie about a scuba couple diving vacationers who were abandoned at sea because the ship's crew took a incorrect head count when it is time to get back on ship and left them behind. Then sharks eventually come a swimming near and around them.

Driving Miss Daisy
I have seen it about 5 times and it never gets old and I am never tired of watching, great movie.

[Spells & Karma]

A little unseasonal, but last night I watched...

Monster House

[Maryann]

Jason Bourne - Love all of them

[Spells & Karma]

Brave

Just as much fun the second time round.

[Swami]

The Man With The Golden Gun.

[Swami]

Moonraker.

[Swami]

For Your Eyes Only.

[Spells & Karma]

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind - The Collector's Edition (AKA The Director's Cut)

[Sarah]

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Although clearly very creepy, have no idea how anyone is afraid of that big sugarplum fairy Leatherface in the original.

In no way, does he compare to the terror installed by this:

[Maryann]

The Manchurian Candidate with Denzel Washington, great movie

[Werewillie Oleson]

The Stepford Wives (1975)

[Jessie]

Dirty Dancing Remake

It was good but not as good as the original.

[Werewillie Oleson]

The House That Would Not Die (1970)

[Sarah]

Pay the Ghost with Nicholas Cage. Brilliant film, quite spooky.

[Maryann]

Body Guard - Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner

Marley and Me - Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, good movie

[Werewillie Oleson]

Minions

:10:

[Spooky Owl!]

THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL (1952)

[Werewillie Oleson]

How bad were they?
