I preferred Family Affairs to EastEnders in the West End.
If Brookside hadn't failed when it did, then it would have outlasted EastEnders in terms of both the 1980s soaps EastEnders and Brookside, and there'd be no Hollyoaks either.
Also, what with EastEnders having its fictional E20 postcode which eventually became a real life postcode, it would therefore make sense for Hammersmith & Fulham to create a real life postcode (W15) within the W12 postcode area and name the W15 postcode area a real place called "Charnham", just like EastEnders had the fictional "Walford" based on real places Walthamstow and Stratford.
