Glad you asked! This one! It´s a fantastic (in both senses) suspense drama that just got axed a few months ago, to my despair and other fans around the world. It instantly became a cult classic and its second season got a bigger budget and a bolder story. The beginning of the story is, apparenly, what you can see in the trailer below, but here, nothing is what it seems...

I got a soft spot for network dramas that still got many viewers, but are not cool for streaming generation. Bull for example or the Chicago franchise.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will always be one of my favorites, even though I know it ain't talk of the town anymore.

Prodigal Son - they waited an unnerving long time to confirm a second season.

This series has it all: A handsome sexy lead (Tom Payne) who is solving crimes to get even with his childhood trauma. A mother who does everything for her children and was the best part in Scandal (Bellamy Young). And a father (Michael Sheen) who is a serial killer and helps his son with clues in exchange for visits in jail.

Prodigal Son had the best season finale cliffhanger of any series this year. Unexpectedly bloody and shocking while the series itself isn't too gory despite gruesome murders. The writing prefers ironic and sarcastic lines. Prodigal Son isn't taking itself too seriously, it has campy moments, Greg Berlanti (Riverdale) is the executive producer), but it is surprisingly consistent with the story arc that tells bits about the serial killer's family over the first season. To me it is the most entertaining new network series, a must-see.

I have seen season one of the “OA” and really enjoyed it. I would like to watch season 2 soon.

I have started watching because I like Tom Payne, I miss him on “Watching Dead”.

I think “Clarice” is excellent one of the best new series. I also think “ Mind Hunter” is a wonderful series if you like crime shows.

You may know this already, but Prodigal Son just aired its (seemingly) final episode. Though the network cancelled it, they're hoping to find some other outlet to continue the series.

It is certainly not to everyone's taste (some would scoff at even using the word "taste" in the same sentence) but the Tyler Perry series The Haves and the Have Nots should get more mainstream recognition. Any series that lasts that long obviously has a following, but being on a fourth-tier basic cable network like OWN meant that it would not make "stars" out of its actors, nor would it ever be considered for mainstream award recognition. Awards?!? You ask (or giggle).....I think some of the actors individual performances stand up against any of the more mainstream stuff we see elsewhere, even if they might be let down by the overall writing and style of the series. The series is also shot quite beautifully at times, with excellent sets and lighting. So while it might not sweep the Emmys, it does some things quite well and ought to be recognized as such. I'd love to see some of the graduates of this series end up elsewhere in more prominent series now that the show is ending.

Season 1 of The OA was one of the best series I've seen on TV. At the time everyone was asking me if I watched Stranger Things I would say The OA was so much better. I didn't like season 2 as much, although it was still good with a very enigmatic ending.

I love this series. Made by the same people who made La Casa de Papel (Money Heist). A murder mystery that spans 3 seasons and the story unfolds in flashback. Every episode is gripping and it keep you guessing right to the end.

Small Axe on BBC iPlayer is a brilliant collection of episodes about the Black British experience.

White House Farm was originally shown on ITV about the real-life murder investigation but it's currently available on Netflix and I quite enjoyed that too.

@Jessie, I´m happy you finally got into the OA dimension! I also prefer Season 1 ("Part" as they call it) and I only know one friend who liked the second one better.
I´m working on a OA fanfic with a story that would reprise the action at the same point where it ended, and would jump into another dimension(s). I´d also would include the hints they did about Part 3 and take into account all facts of the show.
Would you read it if/when I publish it here?
