I didn't warm to the WHOLE SHOW until the end of season 1. When the show went better towards the end of season 1, so did Kelley... and with her ALL the other characters.

Hard to discuss this since we don't know for sure how and why Kelley left the show.
But I wasn't referring to focus groups, I meant the feedback posted on websites like soapchat.
NuDynasty should be good because they're capable of writing good soap, and not because they're listening to our complaints and suggestions.
It doesn't really matter what they do, as long as it's entertaining. And that's the big difference between NuDynasty and NuDallas.
NuDynasty is not clever enough to be a satire, it's not funny enough to be a comedy, it's not dramatic enough to be a soap, it's not over-the-top enough to be so-bad-it's-good trash.
You didn't think it was possible but somehow they manage to disappoint in every aspect.
I'm willing to accept any kind of approach, my problem with this show is that there's no approach or vision at all, and it makes me wonder why they are doing this Dynasty remake.

Casting the new Tanner McBride?
Oh wait, he was Sammy Jo's love interest last time... oh no, the implications... then again, that could be interesting... what if they killed off Steven, but didn't bother recasting him and simply brought in Father McBride to speak at Steven's funeral... or better yet, his memorial, because like in the original show, his body was never found. So just as Sam and Tanner are getting closer during their whole 'forbidden romance' thing, Steven makes his return...

"Saving Peach Dynasty"
An idea...
Have Jeff and Alexis marry however when they're reaching the heights of climax Jeff gives a little, "Oi" and drops dead. As the family gather for the reading of the Will (and who doesn't love a good Will reading) Alexis believes she is about to inherit Jeff's zillions when a shadowy figure appears...Dominique.
The family is shocked when Alexis receives a handsome monthly allowance but will inherit the bulk of Jeff's Estate on the condition Alexis does not remarry for another 10 years. If Alexis dies prior to this then his estate will be left to Monica. Dominique spots an opportunity to exact revenge for the death of her son and assist in developing a relationship with Monica by killing Alexis. I picture Alexis being coerced into a dark alley under the proviso that idiot Adam/Hank is back in town. Enter Dominique, with a bottle of Champagne that's been frozen, and bludgeons Alexis to death. I want to see blood spatter on fur. As Dominique walks off we see an overview of Alexis lying on the wet pavement, blood pouring from her head wounds.
I don't wish to see a recast. I want high drama. I want death and destruction and it needs to be bloody. Are you with me?

I don't know if I want Alexis dead just yet, but the rest sounds *AWESOME*! Though Dominique would be smart enough to hire a hit-man. After all, what if she got blood on her all-white clothing?

Celia would have to enter the scene during B&C's wedding ceremony, of course, and it would have to be a cliffhanger prior to a long break (either winter break or the season-ender). I would totally be on board for this. I just think the show-runners would never want it to happen. Soaps have done the 'dead-wife-shows-up-alive' thing innumerable times, so it's not unique by any stretch...but given the circumstances of NK's departure and the way she was written out, it would be a shock, for sure. Maybe Steven's big secret is that he's been off all this time tracking her down and convincing her to return to Atlanta. Bonus points if they can come up with a plausible explanation of whose ashes those were in the second-season premiere.

I agree. Given the shady circumstances of Nathalie's exit I think the producers should swallow their pride and have her come back to create interest. Cristal may have turned out to be Celia but I'm certain Blake might still harbour feelings towards her...as there were hints of this in Season 2. I'm still not buying the relationship between Blake and Cristal as there is no spark. At least Blake and Celia had some fire going on.

I see where you're going with that Ked. I remember well the first meeting between Dominique and Alexis, in the "Showplace penthouse, it is exquisite." I devised the aforementioned scene to give this version a point of difference between this updated version and the previous one. I would like to see this Dominique all badass.

Well good for her...but the Dynasty writers could have shown their cleverness (shut up!) by having Celia return as the pissed-off ex-wife who wants to bankrupt her ex-husband and make the new trophy wife miserable.....model her schemes and attitude more closely on the original Alexis as NS departs. The other Carringtons' heads would be spinning.
