Yep. We're screwed.

I guess it'll be fun to binge-watch the complete season (and there won't be any hiatus between episodes) but it also means I'll have to avoid this forum altogether.
And I'm going to miss our NuDynasty episode discussions here on soapchat.

I hope it's going to be a good season. Good luck everyone!

I am choosing to see the positive side of this. I have time to catch up on at least 1 series that I wouldn't have had time for if Dynasty s3 was on Netflix.
But it will be difficult to avoid spoilers. At least casting spoilers are very difficult, and the major twists as well.

Cancelled my subscription yesterday.
Usually I'm annoyed by those questions like "please state the reason why..."
But not this time!

No Dynasty!! was my reason.

Maybe I'll never go back, maybe it's all a blessing in disguise.

Der Denver-Clan lol They want to keep the brand name because it's "known" by viewers like us. They can name it "Der Denver-Clan ver Atlanta" :lol:

That's why in France they don't change shows' names too much now. But they used to do the same.
They called "Two and a half men" "Mon oncle Charlie" (My uncle Charlie)... And they kept the same name when Charlie Sheen was fired (and his character killed)

Even the actors don't know what's going on there.
Of course it's bad for them too, as that means A LOT LESS social media buzz for them between now and next May.

Ah ah yes! Good old times! Since you're french you must have known "Knots Landing" as "Côte Ouest" ("West Coast") or "Charlie's Angels" as "Drôles de dames" ("Funny Ladies") and so on... And let's not forget the ridiculous songs they used to add to the opening titles ( Dallas, Knots Landing ...) :fp:

Yeah, especially the french opening song for DALLAS was sooo funny and a little cringy as well.. ("DAAAAAAA - LLAAAAAAS") :D
I wonder if they used that for the 2012 TNT-Version as well? :think:
But i actually really liked the french "Côte Ouest" opening song, even though the original theme is way better.
But as far as i know they didn't change the themes of Dynasty, The Colbys and Falcon Crest, i've had some of those in french on VHS and they had the original theme. Maybe those shows were on another french network than Dallas and Côte Ouest?

Yes, Dallas was the most ridiculous. Everybody forgot that, but they tried another song* for season 3( by DVD). It was far from amazing and still crappy but there was a slight improvement, the theme being more dynamic, closer to the original theme spirit. Unfortunately they didn't keep and the first one came back to the end of the show.
Yes, Knots Landing was not so bad, but the lyrics were pointless ( poetry I guess)
The Colbys, Falcon Crest, and Dynasty were luckier: the original theme was kept.

Yes, I loved "Knots-Côte-Landing-Ouest" very much actually. I couldn't miss an episode. At first I watched it just like that. By season 4 I was fan. And to be honest, I liked the song (but well, I was a young teen a the time lol)

Yes; "Drôles de Dames" was a silly title for Charlie's Angels. But french channels had silly translations for they show. Like "Hart to Hart" becoming "L'Amour du risque" (with the cheap song too)... There was also "The Bionic Woman" becoming "Super Jaimie", the "A team" becoming "L'Agence tout risque" (all risk agency)

Yes, Dallas/Knots were broadcast on TF1, and Dynasty on FR3 (Now France 3)

@xab Good (well, not so good) find : I didn't know either they changed the TNT Dallas opening music too. Oops, they did it again...
Still crappy. Worst to be honest. At least OG Dallas had the excuse to be aired in the 80's.

OMG, "Dallas, ville mirage", the french opening... :confused: What a crappy, crappy song. It's so horrible... "Dallas, ton univers impitoyable" sounds like Mozart in comparison.

In German they changed the title for that show too, but it was actually quite nice with what they came up with. "Hart aber herzlich", the tranlation for that is "Hard but heartly", so it was a nice word game with the surname "Hart".

I was mid-way through cancelling it the other day for this very reason, and then remembered I’d actually like to see S3 of The Crown next month! If they release that in a one-r though then I may binge on that then cancel. There’s not a huge amount on Netflix that looks that compelling. And Britbox should be along in a few weeks - looks better value.

Try "Grimm", that's a nice mystery/fantasy-soap with supernatural elements and quite interesting main plots over 6 seasons, great actors/cast, highly addictive! :)
Found it several years ago on Netflix and i love it so much, that i actually bought all 6 Bluray sets.

Netflix shows, it's just one disappointment after another. Wasted so much time on that crap.
The ones that I want to see e.g. American Horror Story, The Americans and The Affair are no longer available.
Well, then I'll just buy the DVDs!:mad: It's a little expensive but at least it's something that I really want to watch.

Besides, I already have many unopened DVD boxes on the shelf, so it's not like there's nothing else to watch.
