We do need Amanda. And she could (should ?) be Blake's secret child. In the reboot, she would be Fallon's rival and maybe sleep with Liam.

As I mentioned a few time in other topics, this time Amanda could be Blake's daughter he had before marrying Alexis. Meaning she's older than Fallon
Amanda doesn't have to be regular. The character has not enough ground to be a regular imo. But she can be a character for just an arc, or a mid season. Even less (3 to 6 episodes?). This way they can try to get Lindsay Lohan (who worked with Hendrix when she was a kid. And they seem to be in good terms) and many people say Gillies looks like her.

It would be very easy to bring in their version of an adult Amanda by writing a pre-marital relationship for either Alexis or Blake, but I just don't see them having room for her. Until they pare down the cast somewhat (and have some gaps in the family dynamic), she is simply not needed. I mean, if they don't have room for Steven--a character that definitely would fill some gaps in the family dynamic and have instant relevancy--then I doubt Amanda is on the radar as a long-term addition.
Exactly. That's why Amanda should be just a 3 episode arc plot max. There's no room for her, as you said, and OG Amanda is not enough its own character anyway. I like OG Amanda, but she was a Fallon replacement at the time and then they tempered her down. And slowly erased her to non-existence...

Because with this cast and the time Alexis left the mansion they could only do a Amanda story with a much younger actress, late teens. And I think no one wants to see a teenager in this show since we already have Fallon and Kirby... And where did she hide all those years? If they really do 'an Amanda with a teen' I hope it's in London-based Ben Carrington's family. Amanda's secret family relation slowly comes out when she opens an Instagram account and Blake who follows the app sees a glamor shot of her and notices some mark on a leg of Amanda that Alexis also has on some part of her body (so far not known). Blake realizes that Ben raised Alexis' daughter. But why? Could be interesting to continue but...
There would still be a teen on a show that isn't that great in writing for the Colbys so I don't think they'd be better with another legacy character (it could result into NuDynasty's version of the lifeless Stepford girl Jackie Deveraux).

Amanda doesn't have to be a long arc, as I said. It can be 3 episode max. She doesn't need to be Blake & Alexis daughter. She can be a child Blake had when he was having an extra marital affair, maybe with an english woman he met during a business travel. Imagine how much Alexis would hate him for that, especially if the affair occurred soon after they got married. It can fuel the Alexis/Blake feud. Also it can give deeper doubts to Cristal, about Blake's true nature, and doubts about her own mariage with him.
It would be fun if Amanda was a genuine good person (writers hate that kind of character, hence the 2 or 3 episodes max) wanting to discover her family. Meeting with Blake, Fallon, Adam, and realize how dysfunctional they are, how selfish, scheming and manipulative they are. She finds out that Blake only worries that she will ask for money. That Fallon doesn't give a damn about her (being Fallon, self-centered on her own dramas). That Adam is a creep, kinda hitting on her.
At the end she tells how disgusting they are, that she's returning to London, and that they will never hear from her again. It would be a nice pun to the OG

I don't see not mentioning a daughter as a part of Blake's true nature. It was terrible when J.R. didn't know anything of James before he arrived in Dallas and I don't think it makes sense with Blake.

I mean, they already did the whole "I hid a child from you all these years" with Fallon and Liam, so I'm not sure they'd revisit it. Maybe they could reference Amanda in some dream sequence (how meta!) or have Adam do something so dastardly that he has to go undercover in drag and calls himself Amanda.
Because Nu Dynasty is afraid to rehash things?
I mean how many times already Fallon has "realized" that she needs to step out of her father's shadow and not be like him? How many times Blake had a wife who loves him, then has doubt and wants to leave him? How many times Jeff was dying (shot, heart failure, neurotoxicity) but miraculously recovered?- Awards
