What's the best version of the show's opening sequence?

I'm very fond of season ten's, being the last to feature Susan Howard and Victoria Principal.

However I think my fave is season four, the last one to feature Jim Davis.

May he Rest In Peace.

Which is your favourite opening sequence?

The 9th go (Dream Season, 1985-86), where the camera zooms down towards the field in Texas Stadium, instead of passing over it diagonally:

Yes, but there's no bass line when the oil wells are shown... I guess that's ok for one season, but that bass line, especially in the first 4 seasons was part of Dallas, in my opinion. I wouldn't say there is a season that has a bad intro, but some are more interesting than others. I wish they had updated the actors screen shots a little more between seasons 4 and 7, but other than that, I don't really have any complaints about the intros. As I've said before, seasons 1-4 and season 10 are my faves. Season 13 was good for a little reinvention, and modernizing things a bit, and of course, season 3 is my all time pick. The show was at it's best, and that intro reinforced that sentiment.

And I wish they would have stayed w/the original version of the diagonal Texas Stadium shot (where it showed the whole field) instead of using that cutoff version for seasons 3-6 (they went back to it for the seventh go).

Bumping this up: the return of the original first-and-second-season Texas Stadium shot was apparently only for the seventh go, as in the eighth one (1984-85), not only is the end zone cut off, the entire field is progressively obscured.
