I spent most of the week trying to choose between 'Question ...?' and 'You're on Your Own, Kid' from Swifty's new album, but then yesterday Rolling Stone seriously complicated things by ranking every Taylor Swift song from worst to best and I naturally had to start making a playlist of the whole lot. I've got as far as No. 109 and now I can't choose between any of them. So instead I've gone with Puerto Rico by Blondie:

Some time ago I met my aunt (who had lost her husband a few years ago) in a super market and I asked the most obvious question "hi, how are you doing?"
I'm sure she'd have wanted to say "fine" but maybe there was something about that simple question that caught her off guard, and she spontaneously started to cry.
Maybe it's a strange thing to say but I thought there was something very raw and beautiful about it.
I don't think many people would choose to experience sadness, after all life seems to be all about finding that precious thing called happiness, but we wouldn't be human enough without the tears and sadness.
Not to mention the idea that Sons & Daughters wouldn't even exist.

I'm sure she'd have wanted to say "fine" but maybe there was something about that simple question that caught her off guard, and she spontaneously started to cry.
Maybe it's a strange thing to say but I thought there was something very raw and beautiful about it.

It's not quite the same thing, but I always remember listening to a mother talk very openly about the pain of losing of her son to suicide and then someone thanking her for being so "generous with her grief." It's a phrase that always stuck with me. Being all British and repressed, my natural instinct is to not want to bore on about my own problems, but some people are able to do it in a way that almost makes it seem like a privilege to listen to them. And it feels like a spontaneous expression on their part, not a well-thought through "presentation" of their feelings.

Yes your right, i like a few songs from Adele but she sounds mostly borring and always the same on every record she made, i wish she would record a few up-tempo songs, she sounds she same in all those years, but i must say i like her new single.
