Dallas Cast Autographs The Original Hit Series

It's my birthday on 8th November next month, I'll be 52 years old. I've decided to treat myself to a signed photograph which isn't easy to get these days.

I've always loved the late Jim Davis as Jock Ewing and when I saw this listing on eBay I just had to have it. Especially when I saw that it would be due to arrive on my birthday.

After all money isn't everything and even though this one is the most expensive signed photo I've bought I don't care because every now and again you really need to treat yourself, especially when it's coming up to your birthday. :)

I've just purchased a signed photograph of Charlene Tilton on eBay.

This purchase is significant, because I will now own signed photographs of all the original cast members of Dallas.

I already have Howard Keel's but I have yet to purchase both one of Susan Howard and Priscilla Presley.

To be honest I'm not that interested in acquiring one of Priscilla but I shall be getting one of the great Susan Howard in due course.

I've just been rather naughty on eBay again!

Well, it wouldn't be the first time!

I have just purchased a signed black & white photograph of the lovely Barbara Bel Geddes who played our favourite Ewing matriarch Miss Ellie Ewing Farlow on the acclaimed 1980's TV series DALLAS.

I'm sure you all know who she is. I just couldn't stop myself!

I love this! I was wondering if anyone had anything from him. I never stopped missing Jock

I'm curious. There is no doubt most of us here are fans of Dallas. What happens to that memorabilia as we approach the pearly gates. Are there any members of your extended family interested in this? I only ask because a relation of mine has spent the past 30 odd years researching her family history and has in her possession fragile photographs of ancestors past, some of which would have ended up in the tip if not for her reaching out. She also has accumulated hundreds of dollars worth of Birth, Death & Marriage Certificates.

Her two daughters have already indicated they have no interest in this material. She has informed her two daughters it's to be left to me. However no one in my family would have any interest in my limited research let alone inheriting the vast material my other relation has. I've suggested donating it to the local historical society as I'm sure future researchers would appreciate it.

But would the generation today have any interest in Dallas memorabilia?

I think they might once Warner Bros. releases the new HD remastered Dallas on to streaming sites, as well as issuing Blu-ray boxsets of the HD series.

Time will certainly tell. I do hope that Dallas finds a whole new audience & can be a hit again on streaming platforms.

The rest of us die hard fans can still enjoy the new Blu-ray boxsets. :)

I love Jim Davis too, so much so that I'm waiting on this coming through the post.

I couldn't resist getting it when I saw how reasonable the price of it was on eBay a few days ago.

According to the listing it's a rare vintage original autograph 5" by 7" of Jim Davis from the 1940's.

It's beautiful isn't it? :)

That is a great picture of him, and he was of the generation who actually signed the photos themselves instead of a personal assistant.

I've just purchased this signed photo off eBay.

The great Howard Keel. One thing I can definitely say is keeping Keel on Dallas was one of the best decisions they ever made.

Giving Steve Forrest his marching orders as a resurrected Jock is another story! I'm sure you all know my position on that.

However I do have a soft spot for Howard Keel. May He Rest In Peace. Lovely actor.

I've my fingers crossed this is genuine because it was apparently obtained in person. If anyone of my esteemed colleagues on the Forum would like to verify the signature it would be appreciated, although there is a certificate of authenticity which comes with it. :)

Excellent, I also own this photo and others shown in this topic. I bought these in Hollywood several years ago, but none are signed.

Maybe they were the most common photographs at that time?

And is it perhaps also common for Dallas big fans to be born in October/November and are therefore of the astrological sign of Scorpio?

Well I'm a Scorpio, so who knows! :)
