Dallas Monopoly finally ended!!

Hello everyone! Long time no see! I had to do a break on my creations! I apologize!
Since the Monopoly game does not exist in a “Dallas” version, I decided to create one. Very long work!
I doubled the number of cards in order to include as many storylines as possible that took place in the show (sorry but storylines are written in french).
- The “chance” cards remain “chance” cards but with a different illustration (the derrick replaces the question mark).
- “Community Chest” cards become “J.R Schemes” cards. For each card I also added a photo of the character (photocopy type) in relation to what is written on the card.
- Finally, finding the Monopoly bills very simplistic, I decided to make reproductions of “real” bills but customizing them with the likeness of the Dallas characters.
I'm missing the $5 one (with Jock) and the $500 one (the whole family) for different reasons but I'm still working on it!
There you go, best wishes to everyone for this year 2025!

Very nice-- wish games like that could be made for the others (KL, Dynasty and Falcon Crest).

Very nice indeed.

I did in fact do one for Knots a long time ago. You can still see it at my website. Not nearly as professional looking as this one, though.

Really nice! If that were real, I think I'd want to buy and play it.

Happy 2025 @JR-Rules! Your DALLAS monopoly looks so ace. Kudos, for all your time and effort in making it a reality. Imho Jock and Ellie could have played this, in addition to backgammon.

Jock: "Come on Ellie let's have the backgammon, before the crew land for dinner. Wanna wager who will get to the 'golden point' first?"

Ellie: "Oh I think you're going to have put your hand in the pocket, Jock."

Jock, Ray and Donna are having morning coffee, in the Southfork dining room. Ellie soon joins them and a marital tiff erupts; (a scene from season 3, DVD-4, 1980 – ‘81):

Ray says to Jock: “About Bobby. According to JR he is on the senate committee that is going to decide about Takapa.”

Jock: “Well now that is one vote we can count on.”

Ellie joins them and says: “Do you really think so little of Bobby?”

Jock: “I think he is smart enough to understand good business, when he sees it, that’s for sure.”

Ellie: “Is that what you call it? I call it ravaging the land, for profit.”

Ray looks at a dejected Jock and then gives his $0.02 worth: “Miss Ellie I understand how you feel about this. But we are not going to ravage the land. We just want to turn a swamp into something useful. Something that people might benefit by.”

Ellie retaliates: “A swamp! When you were a ranch foreman you had a very high regard for the land. It was very special to you. All you used to care about was the best price for cattle feed. But since you have become a Ewing your values seemed to have changed, along with your knowledge. You are now an expert on knowing what is best for people!”

Jock intervenes: “Damn it woman, get off a Ray’s back! Since this whole thing started you haven’t been fit to live with and I am not putting up with it, anymore. I’m going to Dallas!”

Ellie: “Jock if that’s the way you feel, when you get to Dallas stay there!”

Jock leaves the room, while saying: “That’s just exactly what I am gonna do!”

I love your monopolies, I used to play a lot with it when I was a teenager (not that long ago...). What I´d really like to see is a mix of all Supersoap universes, with the Ewingverses, the Falconverse and the Carringtonverses put all together!!!

Hello again - at King of the banner makers @JR-Rules

Im not sure how I missed this thread from earlier in the month and will move it into the main forum. :hugs: Its too good not to be there

Looks impressive and I hope you are "tres bien"

LOVE BF x
I'm fine!! I hope you're fine too!!!
Thanks for the comment!
I don't have enough time to build some creations as I used to :(
I'm actually working on a "Cluedo" version.
Not easy because I can't duplicate the real Southfork shape on the board since it's a square board... I will try my best tough :p

I was planning to do one about Knots Landing.
I can try based on your work if you want.
My main problem will be about the cards.
For the "Dallas Monopoly" I watched and rewatched the show, writing each single storyline to build very personalized cards and not "common cards" we used to see in each monopoly.
So I have to watch KL to do that. But I can build the board and the cards first...

I based the cards mostly on actual Monopoly cards adapted to plotlines and incidents from the show, plus, as you can see, a couple of ideas suggested by @Daniel Avery in an earlier thread where the concept was being discussed.
I wanted to call them Choices and Community Spirit (both episode titles) but the software I was using didn't allow for that.

I worked a lot for the Dallas Monopoly, mostly for the cards "chance" & "JR's schemes" to be the most accurate and to get the most storylines/plotlines from the show.
To build a KL monopoly I really need to rewatch the show.
You're idea for the cards title is good. I wanted to copy my dallas cards with "Chance" & "Abby's schemes" but I will think about that.
But to build the KL board I can easily copy your "property" cards but with my Dallas board since I always keep my creations structure. I need to get some decent pics to illustrate each property but it won't be a problem.
I will start with that first since I actually don't have time to watch the show. I may send you my version to know what you think about it
