From 2 years ago today

Oh wow. And this has made me scroll back and realise that it's exactly two years ago to the day I was wrapping up my first 13 episodes of TNGC (I posted my thoughts the following day).

What a ride it's been, eh? And you've certainly kept the Xrds/Nolly love going, BF.

Some sad news.
Yvette Dotrice - 26th February 1960 – 23rd May 2025.
Wendy Crisp has passed away

Lumley
Yvette (née Dotrice), 26th February 1960 – 23rd May 2025. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Yvette , who died peacefully on 23rd May 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Royal Trinity Hospice. Yvette faced the last four and a half years with extraordinary courage following her diagnosis, always finding strength in the love of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her warmth, her quick wit, and her deeply authentic nature. Yvette was someone who was always true to herself, never afraid to speak her mind, and whose honesty and integrity left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Born into an acting family, Yvette ultimately left the stage to embrace her true passion—creating a loving home and raising her children, of whom she was endlessly proud. Her many talents included interior design, art, and her deep love for nature and animals, expressed through her joyful @Picklethebeagle1 Instagram account. Yvette leaves behind her devoted husband John; her children Cordelia, Phoebe, and Oscar; her cherished granddaughter Felicity Yvette; her beloved sisters Michele Woodward and Karen Nalle; and her adored dog Pickle. A Funeral Service will be held at St Luke's Church on Monday 9th June at 3 p.m. Flowers to Leverton & Sons, 212 Eversholt Street, London NW1 1BD. All welcome.

Teen Terror Iris strikes again. This time lying that her uncle Arthur assaulted her. Meanwhile Jill was going cold turkey from tranquilizers. Never seen these episodes before. It's been a fun ride. I love the way the shows writer and creator Peter Ling weaved characters in and out. Bad boy Chris Hunter is back from Algiers. And already putting the moves on newcomer Becky Foster. Who's busy hiding convicted escape killer Eddie Lee. Who might be innocent. Meanwhile the stress of Iris pressing attempted sexual assault charges on Arthur is affecting Kath's health. Still enjoying how writer Peter Ling juggled the characters and stories. Everything flows rather nicely. Along with great twist and turns along the way. The Police - De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da playing in Chris and Becky's scenes was a nice touch. Crossie slowly stepping into the 80's. Diane is finally back. I do like that Diane from time to time would go to America to visit her young son. She's reunited with her bad boy hubby of convenience Chris. And learns that Chris and Becky are now a couple. Looks like Benny and Meg both returned in the next episode. I'm glad Barbara beat Chris to the punch and told David about Eddie Lee. And told Becky about Chris getting Alison pregnant. Now Chris is implying to Becky that Barbara and Eddie were lovers.

Don't know what to make of the music story. But I do like them trying to be youthful. In their own middle of the road way. It was funny and convenient That Crossroads Motel had a state-of-the-art recording studio.

A friend asked me to post Megs wedding on You tube - so I did

for those who dont have the box set

Birmingham 1975

Thanks for this. I’ve only ever seen clips before. I love how it’s basically shot like one of the televised royal weddings and they go through a condensed version of a proper wedding service with full prayers and hymns.

Many scenes in Crossroads seem to be played out in full in real time as if you were there, same goes for some Xmas/Church scenes

I felt i should have worn my "Sunday best" watching her wedding and not my dressing gown and PJs!!
