This is an interesting video, about 20 hidden facts. Of course most of us know many of them or heard about.

How interesting, I did not know that Maggie was killed in a car accident in season 3 because Susan Sullivan wanted to quit...
Seriously I stopped at 10 minutes because this video is utterly ridiculous.
Apparently, according to the comments, it is also said that Chase was killed in season 4...

The first "fact" that Jane Wyman was "profoundly deaf" just isn't true. I suspect that the AI system used to garner this information confused the fact that she played a deaf character in the film Johnny Belinda ( 1948).

Any youtube upload that present itself with "facts" and "truths" and "explained" is, without exception, pure clickbait.

When I first read that I saw "clickbait" as being "duck bait."

And I was, like, "What the hell is duck bait?"

I've got to do something about my blood sugar.

I know what "duck bait" is. TNT Dallas was (Duffy) duck bait!!!

I doubt anyone would have to travel 40 miles to find a vineyard in the heart of Napa’s wine country. 40 paces, maybe! As for “sweet Earl Hamner” starting a physical fight with a producer - I think he was far too intelligent to tackle adversity with his fists.

In fact, I’m struggling to find anything other than fiction in this video. It makes about as much sense narrative sense as Season Nine!

Initially I thought the video was about the Secret Falcon Crest files from the German fanclub.
Could Jacqueline have cracked the code to unseal Angela's dirty laundry?

I'm kind of proud these content generators thought enough of FC to add one of these videos....even if some of their "facts" are laughably wrong. There are similar videos being made for practically every show, with varying levels of fact-checking. Typically they have an AI-generated narrator who mispronounces words in ways that only an AI bot could, but no human seems to listen to it before it gets uploaded to correct the mistakes. While I ought to be offended that they did not do their homework ("AI slop!!"), it's still kind of fun to hate-watch them and pick out the mistakes. Which is probably why they don't bother to proofread/check anything.

The huge problem with videos like these is that people believe these "facts" and spread the words.
And so completly lies become facts. This is only about a TV show, co it can't do much harm. But what about science, politics and history?
This will become very dangerous in future. For all of us ...

I think the misinformation itself is harmless, as long as we keep in mind that social media is not the place to get real news.
Many videos are created for only one purpose: your precious mouse click.

On the other hand, there are lots of passionate content creators who make great videos.
As with everything in life it's all about being selective.

AI is a danger, at least unless people are not obliged to disclose that teir product was generated by AI. It's always the question where the purpose of pure entertainment stops and where false information begins.

Prime Video in the US has been tampering with many publicity photos of "Falcon Crest" (as well as "Knots Landing" and other shows) to make them suitable for the format on their website, creating new backgrounds, etc. It's hilarious because AI creates additional mistakes for no reasons. This picture from # 185 <8.02> is a good example:
The console table with the plant on the left is purely fictitious; they simply wanted to extend the photo. The creation is horribly fake. Next to the fireplace is a dark wall and a statue (?) or whatever. AI didn't recognize it was the curtains at the edge of the picture (a blue one and a white one). It turned the white one into the statue and made a "wall" out of the blue curtain where the French doors to the patio should be. Also, Angie and Peter are suddenly having a cake now instead of the Scottish salmon (which you can still see parts of if you know).

It happens a lot now. Amazon also changed the color of Angela's iconic red / white suit from season 1 to blue / white in another promotional photo, for example.

These pictures were taken by professional set photographers back then, and they are pieces of art from that time and a documentation of that era's zeitgeist. It's not just a matter of copyright to change them (but many people nowadays show no respect for intellectual property anyway), but it also shows total disrespect of the artists who created them originally.

As some of you may have noticed, I´m starting to use a lot of quotes and various info in my (non-Top) videos, and I have the rule of crediting the clip and / or the quote in the same clip and then in the end titles TOO.

As you may know too, I am avoiding any kind of sensationalistic clickbait or whatsoever. At the beginning, I made the videos for myself (I thought there would be no public for them) and then I came to me that I could share them through YouTube.

I do not watch videos about supersoaps unless they are either done by select artists here (you know who you are, you are amazing) or podcasts with star guests (and not even not all of them), they are kind of boring me now. I can tell you it´s very easy to do what AI´s are doing. I could do one for myself in a couple of hours and put an AI voice. I just want to keep up the feeling that they are a challenge and it´s easy to be creative (as easy as to be repetitive, honestly).

Another of the things that keep me away from those videos (especially the ones done by South American guys) is that they obviously copy and paste into the script parts of my site and take clips from my videos (sometimes even leaving the "supersoaps.org" mark, which is ok to me). These guys are very coward too, because they just delete the messages if I complain. Moi!

I completely understand.

One of the reasons why — other than our extremely detailed (and free) "Behind the Scenes" section on falconcrest.org — the areas containing juicier stuff, very specific information and production documents are hidden behind the (very inexpensive) paywall for members is that it makes it pretty easy for us to keep control of any misuse and copyright infringement. If anyone spreads things from there, we could tell from the log files who it is and go after them.

There is a segment on Ana Alicia explaining she was a singer before joining FC. Yeah right! I actually watched the video sporadically, before turning it off.

Mix it with a bit of te-de-de-de-de from the 007 theme and you got a missing Bond theme. Or a missing Bond knockoff theme.

More hilarious AI from Amazon Prime Video in the U.S.:
Angie's portrait (from season 1; bottom row left) is actually her famous red / white suit, which Amazon changed to blue.
By the way, Lance's photo from season 3 does not make any sense in advertising season 6 either.

AI trash is flooding the web now. VinTV in Spain (which currently rebrodacasts the show in linear TV and als streams it) "created this ridiculous photo. Everything upwards from the Victorian Mansion's stonework on the first floor and to the left of the tree (off center) between the living room and the study is purely fictitious and makes the Mansion look like a disposal site for construction waste.
