Bellwood was a terrific actress, but she didn't want to play Claudia mentally ill anymore. So, once she came back for Season 4, she was now a just-add-water good mental health poster child.

Which gave her nothing to do other than marry every Carrington son and deliver the usual, misandrist "why-don't-you-share-your-pain-with-me??" bullshit dialogue.

Bellwood was unhappy with Claudia's psychiatric descent in Season 6, but I found it to be a relief and, frankly, I wish it had been more extreme (if setting an entire hotel on fire isn't extreme enough). The actress does it so well, and if Claudia's not perpetually on the brink of emotional collapse, the character doesn't really work.

She was an amazing actress. She should never have come back after season 2. She should have been patient and tried her luck in cinema or in other TV productions. Dynasty ruined her career. A curse disguised as a stroke of luck.

I missed Claudia but loved her most, when she was crazy, so here's how i would have handeled it:

Claudia's body should have never been found after the La Mirage fire. And we all know, what that means in TV-land ... :bump:

Instaed, she should have re-appeared at the end of the first episode of season 8, being more over the top crazy than ever and going absolutely apeshit realising that Matthew was still in love with Krystle.
In rage and fury, she would have given Matthew a deadly headshot and shoot all of his men and Krystle as well, but not deadly (that would mark the end of S8E01) and then holding all Carringtons and staff hostage until Steven has to kill Claudia at the end of episode 2, to save everybody.

She then dies in Stevens arms, her last words being "Oh Steven - you and Danny, we could have been a family. Why couldn't you love me the way i loved you ... why do you have to be ........... gay?!"

What a two-part season-opener! Much more dramatic than what we got - and a fitting sendoff for the tragic Blaisdel family!

That would have thrown Steven in a very deep struggle throughout the season with the result, that he finally comes to terms with him being gay and that being gay isn't anyones "fault" - supported by almost everyone in the family - except Adam of course.... and then he leaves Denver to move together with Bart Fallmont in San Francisco - which would be in line with that stupid Reunion.

At some point, @tommie being @tommie, said somebody on the site needed "to die". You know, playful @tommie, always tossing Molotov cocktails ... So either he was censured in some way and/or his post was deleted and he angrily took off, perhaps taking others. (Hopefully, he didn't kill them either. Perhaps they left in "support"). We just don't know.

It's all a mystery.

A little change (re-tooling) of my script. :D
Claudia shoots all of Matthews men FIRST, while Matthew desperately orders them, not to harm Claudia in any way, as he still feels responsible and guilty for leaving her and cheating on her.
After all his men are dead, she THEN gives Matthew the headshot and shoots Krystle (of whom she believes is the "most dangerous Carrington of them all") as well - but not deadly, as we find out later.

Krystles possible dead could even mark the season 7 finale, while Matthews return, as it was in the original S7-finale ("I came back for YOU, Krystle!"), could have taken place at the end of the penultimate S7 episode. :hat:

Just wait for AI-videos to become even better and longer .... in the forseeable future i will provide you with these alternative Dynasty-episodes, as if they were real!! :spinning:

That sounds wild! I can't help but find this hilarious: Matthew returns, Krystle goes "Matthrew!" only for Claudia to shoot both of them.
