Both. I thought both were good cast additions and character additions.

The pedant in me has to point out that Christopher and John Ross were not new characters, unless you want to argue that the adult versions were different to the child versions.

Well, yeah. But because they've been recast with adults, they're kind of new characters.

Sort of like when I assume Donna Reed is Miss Ellie's cousin (or Jenna's aunt) whenever I see her onscreen in Season 8 --- it never even crosses my mind that she's Miss Ellie.
