Did Charlotte Outlive Maggie

Was Charlotte still alive to our knowledge when Maggie unexpectedly died in the premiere of Season 9? I do not recall her passing ever being brought up. It is unbelievable Maggie's mother, children Cole and Vicky, and grandchildren Joseph and Hope were all no shows at her funeral.

She probably was the one who sent Charley to steal Maggie´s ring and be able to gamble a little more...The nerve!

Apparently the Cynthia Cidres of Falcon Crest season 9 wanted us to forget those characters, or didn't even know about them..I'm leaning towards the latter.

I enjoy season 9 because I saw seasons 7, 8, and 9 before I ever saw the earlier seasons, and I was also pretty young. I didn't realize all of the backstory that was swept under the rug, and therefore able to enjoy the season outside of that context. It makes it more difficult now, but I still enjoy season 9..wish there was a way for me to watch it right now.
