Me too. I liked DW, he added some much needed energy when the show was slowly dying. Although, Val married him a little too quickly, but I guess after Gary twice and Ben, it was inevitable.

Agree - he was thoroughly unvetted, as she soon found out. But Val was, like Gary, an obsessive, addictive personality. She was SO needy emotionally and here was DW, stoking her obsession and stroking her needs...lol

DW was a great character , awful man but strong character, Ben was too lame , I never found him interesting

Except Charles Scott. Miserable, wretched disaster. Yuck. Ew.

Really? I liked Claudia and thought Kathleen Noone did a good job with her performance. But to each their own.

I am currently re-watching season 14 (with only 4 episodes left) and Kathleen Noone was wonderful as Claudia! She was one of the most entertaining characters during those last few years. Her acting seems especially impressive in episode #14.15 "Hints and Evasions" when Kate ends up being at the hospital after her accident.

Kathleen Noone was a very good addition to the final seasons.
