Why would Cliff hold on to and gift Pamala ( his daughter) earrings from Katherine of all people?

The last wills' details in nuDALLAS didn't always make a lot of sense.

Josh & Jesse look the same as they did in 2012, more or less. People really don't age as fast as they used to.

That's a shame. Christopher vs Lucas should have been the real focus IMO. I know it's tempting to have John Ross front and centre but in some ways it was him that was the redundant character.

For the same reason Sue Ellen kept John Ross away from his father for years when in the original, she always went out of her way to make sure her son had a good relationship with his father.

Cidre had never seen the original, didn't understand the characters, and had no grasp of the details of any of the relationships.

Yes, if true it just underscores how much PD influenced Cidre (likely why he still insists she understood the show like Katzman) for his own gain.

The older characters were supposed to be background and PD had wormed his way to front and center....seemingly squeezing Christopher out. Viewers would have been more interested in adopted Christopher's insecurities about biological son Lucas showing up than Bobby navigating it. Katzman set that future storyline up beautifully and Cidre/Duffy were apparently going to squander it.

With the success of Netflix's Ransom Canyon, there was/is an audience for DALLAS but not with Duffy calling the shots for his own ego.

I wonder did the writers make a mistake or did Ken Kercheval make a mistake. The scene when Elena went to the prison to see Cliff, Cliff tells her that "JR is doing the same thing to her father the he did to his father." It obviously should have been Jock.

Well, if Patrick directed it, that explains it.

I wonder if Patrick was employed as the "Showrunner" or "Executive Producer" of the new series it would have made a difference. Though I would hope he - or someone close to him - would tap Patrick on the shoulder and ask for David Paulsen to return as head writer.

No one on DALLAS seemed to have a clue as to what Paulsen's contribution were -- except for Leonard.
