Thanks! The tone seems so different from the little bit of the show that I caught towards the beginning of its run. So, these were all her scenes? Looks like it got the axe abrubtly.

The background music is super horrible. But am I the only one who was reminded of Alexis and Joseph's cobweb-strewn art studio scene when she walked onto the old abandoned Melrose apartment set?

What I meant was, having come (literally) off the back of The Stud and The Bitch, Joan had a somewhat edgy, sexy reputation that gave her a sort of exotic Euro sleaze feel. She added this dynamism to the role of Alexis. Heather on the other hand, is a bit more mumsy these days. She doesn't exude the sexy vamp feel that I'd associate with Alexis. In saying that, the new Alexis (if she ever appears) may not be written as the type of woman who shags people to death and potentially shares lovers with her offspring. Which would be a shame.

But Amanda Woodward did. And Heather is also associated with that character.

Carrie, your description almost makes me think Sharon Stone should play her -- on a different network, with higher production values, that might have been a good idea.

Nonetheless, Sharon is another one who's nothing like the high-octane female characters for whom she's been typecast.

This would never happen, but Zoe Lucker would be an EXCELLENT Alexis. I feel like as excited as I am for the new Dynasty, I'm going to be disappointed in who they cast in this role. It's vital so they need to get it right. Lucker wouldn't be well known in the role, but we know she'd do so well in the role it wouldn't matter, much like Collins when she did the original. I'm also curious what type of roles they'll have for the original cast when they eventually appear. I'm also curious which of the older actors they'd look at. I also wouldn't be terribly opposed to Emma Samms as Alexis (don't shoot me).

That video is the first of five. If you open it in YouTube, you'll get the rest which have all of her scenes, including a Michael/Jane/Jo/Amanda reunion in the courtyard. Even though it got the axe, Amanda's arc did have closure of sorts.

Is it certain that a living Alexis appears in the present day? Or is Alexis the one who's been offed, and perhaps seen in flashback (JC)?

Someone earlier mentioned Tracy Scoggins, and after looking a recent pictures of her on Google, I think she's got potential as the new generation's "Alexis".
