Amazon Is Shutting Down Freevee.

Just a heads up, I just read that Amazon will be shutting down Freevee. As we all know, Freevee is where a lot of us watch Dallas. I'm not sure if it'll be on Amazon Prime, but the days of watching Dallas for free maybe coming to an end.

Edit:Amazon does have a free streaming service for non Prime subscribers that will still apparently offer some content that was available on Freevee.

Freevee was a great streaming service. I hope they replace it with something comparable.

Is there a date when it’s going to go away? I can probably look it up.

We never had Freevee in Australia but with ads on Prime it does seem redundant now.

I don't like commercials interrupting my shows or movies. Such a platform would never be an option for me, can't stand ads.
That's why i have youtube premium as well and my DVD/Bluray collection. If streaming with ads would be the only choice, i'd just stop watching shows for good, no hard feelings there.

Ads are way too annoying for me, try to avoid them wherever i can for like 30 years now. And if any specific ad is going on my nerves, i'll NEVER purchase anything from that company anymore in my whole life, so be very careful with your approach towards me, commercial industry! Just sayin' :hat:

the article i read said if my memory is right that everything that was on freevee is gonna be on Prime for free if i understood that right, the picture quality yes is better than the dvd's. but i hate ads too when i watch normal tv i get tired of them too. but sometimes it' helps so if i gotta go to the bathroom or a phone call. someone needs me for something. but here is the thing, when when it's free you expect ads that's their way of paying for it i get that. it annoys the hell out me but i get it. but when you pay for netflix or prime etc.. and they force you to pay a higher Tier that's just plain f... greed. you pay for prime which is expensive as it is i expect no ads if i'm paying for it. it's not a free service if you want to watch the next season of say Alex Cross for example? i forget the name of the show but you get my point i'm trying to make
