What babies would you have liked to see on Knots Landing? I think it would have been interesting if that young waitress Joshua was seeing found out she was pregnant after his death. She could have tried to extort money from the Clements clan.

They did not leave a lot of room for such surprise pregnancies.

I suppose Cathy Geary showing up with Ben's baby in S8 could have been a convenient excuse to have him leave (with her), if not just so we could avoid the Jean Hackney nonsense. I'm picturing an infant in a crib with spiky, platinum blond hair and a torn-up sweatshirt instead of a onesie.

It would have been really soapy if Diana realized she was pregnant shortly after Chip's death. Abby would advise her to get an abortion, and after she does Karen would find out and be angry....which would force Karen to re-examine her feminist bona fides while also re-igniting the Abby/Karen feud. It would also drive a wedge between her and Mack, who would actually support Diana's decision.

She took a pregnancy test at the end of S13 that showed she was indeed pregnant. S14 picked up and she went after Greg to tell him the good news. After some time she learned the test was a false positive, but she kept up the pretense for a while afterward in order to try holding onto the money Greg.

Did other characters know she was "pregnant"? Surely Paige and Claudia had something to say about it.

The scene where her doctor tells her she is starting menopause is one of my favourites. I can still see her denying the possibility even as she fans herself furiously while having a hot flush.

That was one of the few storylines from the last season that I found truly entertaining and fun. Just finished watching that season, and I didn´t remember how abysmal everything was, from the task force plot (badly executed) to the Robeson siblings hoax to the very gross Gary-Kate affair. One baby that shouldn´t have existed was the result of that affair in the Reunion Miniseries... Again, poor poor Val.
