I think they have been clever this time round picking celebs who have all been in some kind of scandal.

It's certainly sparked some interesting conversation in my home between Wifey, Teen Ome and myself. I love that they've gotten some really fascinating characters, but Wifey isn't best pleased, saying it's like rewarding some of these people after the crimes they've committed. I agree that we shouldn't be rewarding people, but on the other hand, if they've committed a crime and served their sentence, then shouldn't we be allowing for rehabilitation, or sentence them for life? It's a tricky subject.

OMG, every time he's on screen I suddenly feel like I'm watching a cartoon.

I was utterly shocked at his filthy language last night, I seriously couldn't believe what he was saying and I wasn't sure if they were going to kick him off the show. I hope he doesn't do anything like that again, I really want to watch his journey and learn about him. I have to add that every time I see him I keep seeing one of those typical bank robbers (on a TV show) where they wear masks to hide their face. It's just such bloody strange

Another scene that could have gone down the wrong way. I was expecting BB to pull him in because of the way he was touching ben. I'm at a loss at how these are behaving and this is just launch night.

Oh my God! What a problematic group of people. Rodrigo was an unpleasant surprise in episode 2, his behavior is annoying and weird. He keeps talking about his standards and the fact that he is not interested in the male contestants but he seems to be drooling over Dan and Ben. Is Ben gay? And Kirstie reminds me of Patsy Kensit.

I was confused by this because he was part of a show where he married someone. Not that I'm saying he can't be bi, but at the same time, I keep wondering if he is gay.

If anything, he's certainly a colourful character.

I've never understood all this kissing malarky, it just oozes falseness. I don't go around kissing people who I've just met, actually, I doubt I've ever kissed my best mate since we met as teenagers.

I also wonder if Rodrigo could actually feel anyone kissing his face, I still see it pretty much as plastic and that's only because I see no movement in it. Whatever expression he had when they did the surgery, must be still there.

And why would a gay person *act* gay?

Maybe acting gay is the wrong description and maybe he meant he wasn't camp, oh I don't know anymore. The whole gender identity has thrown me into some kind of alternate universe, to which I blame @Richard Channing for posting a thread about the 721 different gender identities out there.

My jaw dropped to the floor when Rodrigo casually dropped the N bomb into the conversation and repeated for good measure. I can't remember the last time I've seen such flippant use of racist language on TV. His excuses in the diary room didn't cut it for me and sounded totally insincere. I think he is a vile person who thinks it's acceptable to refer to black people in a derogatory way. Had it been the non-celebrity version he would have been thrown out.

Not sure why Kirsty Alley is in the house, she is a big star and a very good comedy and dramatic actress, or at least she used to be. Big Brother seems like a massive step down in her career but maybe she needs the money. That said, she seemed quite humble, introducing herself to everyone using both her names, never assuming that anyone would know who she was.

I don't think it would have been a condition, she was genuinely surprised. And I don't think it's about making it less stressful for her, if anything it's to make it more stressful for her. BB uses some sneaky psychological strategies to cause conflict. As well as having to make some hard choices and possibly enemies being president, the situation will encourage "who does she think she is?" feelings in the other housemates leading to jealousy and resentment. So, probably not all as favourable as it may seem originally.

Well, on the one yes they are being rewarded in one way, but then hey, everyone makes mistakes, but on the other hand CBB is a double edged sword, and if they are someone who is good at effing things up for themselves they are now in a position to do it royally. So I think some of their naughtiness might get some of them in trouble and make their reputations far worse than when they went in. So not quite the redemption they were looking for.

I actually really enjoyed tonights show. It was a stroke of genius putting Rodrigo in that ridiculous costume. If he was a feast for the eyes before they just sent it into overdrive. It was too funny. And I think he secretly loved it.

Kirsty was great tonight, I'm really enjoying her. I don't really care what her political views are, she's fun to watch. I like how she was having fun with the power bestowed upon her. The task of them having to give up their most expensive item was actually quite ingenious as, one way or another, it told us a lot about each of them.

Ben was funny at the ball and I really enjoyed his dancing. I think I'm going to like him.

I think she was showing off, and she obviously has a good voice, but some of it was really cringe worthy. She was just trying too hard and really needed to rein it in a bit.

I can't say I'm particularly interested in what she has to say about Trump - and is it even possible to discredit him any more than he does himself? Sex-scandals have become so commonplace, I find it all a bit overrated. Nevertheless, it is/was huge in the US so maybe you're right about what it could have done for Big Brother.

I do think that this unusual environment (in a different country) can have an unexpected effect on the BB contestants.
Tifanny Pollard stormed the house all guns blazing, but somehow she struggled to maintain the position of Superbitch.
Maybe it's their (misinformed) idea of British people being more reserved and down-to-earth.

Manipulative Big Brother has done a great job with this series political theme as it creates quite a bit of political tension.
Does Natalie not understand that these tasks are not really Kirstie's ideas?
I think what really bothers her is that Kirstie didn't want to share her political views, which I think is a wise decision.
Natalie proves to be a very sensitive person, is that really a Bad Girl's attitude? I think she's a total hypocrite.

He is very annoying but at least he's not boring so I think he should stay too. But he does stand a good chance of being nominated as he seems to be pissing a few people off.
His conversation with Natalie was pretty funny as it was pretty clear she had no idea what satire or satirical meant so she just had to kind of sidestep those questions.

Jermaine kinda gives me the creeps and he certainly isn't acting like he's a married man. Not one that wants to stay married anyway! His flirting with Chloe was very obvious.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Rodrigo reacts to conflict and being made to do things he doesn't want to do. I think there's going to be lots of diva tantrums bitchy remarks.
