Re: the Parmalee plot, I always remember Hagman’s remark on the Christmas Eve episode of Wogan in 1986. I’m quoting from memory here:
Terry: Miss Ellie left then she came back, Bobby left then he came back…now it looks as though Jock left and HE’S coming back.
Larry: Trust me, he left and he AIN’T coming back.

Hmmm. Was it Hagman who killed this plot line? He was the one who wanted Duffy brought back. He didn’t like season 9 so he didn’t care if it was erased as a dream, no matter how this affected the other characters. He did have that much power to decide to end the plot

It's certainly possible that Larry did have something to do with the Wes is Jock storyline going nowhere.

It's a shame though because after the tenth season and with Victoria Principal and Susan Howard gone the storylines were very sub standard. :(

Of course Larry was a joker. I remember that interview well.

In a previous interview with Terry, Terry said to Larry, "Pam's frigid, Sue Ellen's an alcoholic and the poison Dwarf is a nymphomaniac, why are there no good parts for women on Dallas?"

Larry replied, "You don't call that good parts?"
