Trying to find the episode where Sue Ellen has her first interview with a actor that is auditioning for her movie to play JR.

If you mean the actor who won the part and IMDB is to be trusted he first appeared in "The Sound of Money" season 12 episode 23.

However Sue Ellen went into pre-production for the movie already in episode 14 that season "comings and goings."

Didn't Chris Farley also die from being overweight, just like John Candy? Technically, John Candy had a heart attack but it would never have happened to such a young guy had he been in good physical condition and not 100 or more pounds (roughly 45 kilos overweight or more ).

I always envision DALLAS bringing in two big movie stars -- people who wouldn't ordinarily do series television -- to play themselves playing J.R. and Sue Ellen. Maybe somebody would do it as a lark since it's only a couple of episodes. Like an SNL appearance.

I picture Christopher Walken and Kathleen Turner, their scenes as "J.R. and Sue Ellen" played like VIRGINIA WOLFE, the melodrama done to hyperbolic excess from what had even occurred between J.R. and Sue Ellen in real life. With screaming and maybe even some physical violence thrown in.

As producer Sue Ellen stands behind the camera, approving it all.
