I was just coming to say this. People have to realize that all networks tend to apply the same formula to all of their shows (it's why a straight-up soap opera was a bad idea for TNT and why the show quickly started gravitating towards crime drama). The CW is no exception. This will be relatively short scenes, lots of popular music, music-video editing, and an intense focus on YOUNG. You can't forget this is trying to appeal to the younger demographic, and everything about it will lead to that. There will be NO melodrama. It won't be highly dramatic or OTT. They'll go for 'hip' and 'cool'. I'll be VERY surprised if it's anything else.
Which makes perfect sense because, from the very beginning, they made it clear that Fallon & Krystle Cristal will be the main focus. That's why they cast someone that still looks like a teenager. It also makes me wonder whether they ever plan for Alexis to come on permanently or have as big a part as she did on the original. It's actually kind of doubtful (although I'm sure they won't resist bringing her on, if only for the publicity). Considering the age of their young leads (Fallon and Cristal), they want to focus more on anyone in that generation. Blake and Alexis (if she's ever a regular, lol) will have occasional scenes, along the other "grown ups," and maybe even miss an episode or two every now and then.
Also, the age difference that would have to be between Cristal and Alexis doesn't please me. They'll look sorta ridiculous. Add on top of that the racial undertones, which the show is building itself on...
Oh, I'm DEFINITELY watching. 1: Because I can't resist. 2: Because it will likely be a huge mess, and I gotta witness that. 3: On the tiny, slight, minuscule chance that it IS good.
