I forgot to comment on some of photos included in the photo collage!

Two of the photos makes me think that perhaps we'll be visiting Disney World or Disney Land in this episode! Perhaps Bobby and Pam and their children will be taking a trip to Los Angeles?

The photo of Afton with a man made me think of the upcoming wedding between Afton and Mario! I really hope that it won't come to that. Not only for Becky's sake, but also for Cliff ... ... and Afton herself! And let's not forget Mitch!

Cute update Karin!:) Rebecca and Margaret were both adorable in this update getting into the refrigerator and eating some of the candy that is for Christopher's birthday party behind his back.:) I am glad that Miss Ellie caught them both sneaking some of the candy out of the refrigerator and that she lectured them about them about it even though they were just being kids. :);)

I remember that a lot of my friends were drinking when we went to parties in High School. I didn't though since my parents had made a clever deal with me. If I didn't drink or smoke they would pay for my driver's license when I turned 18. :)
I think that you probably need to share the total costs of getting a driver's license in Sweden, so that the international readers are able to really comprehend the magnitude of the deal that your parents offered you! ;) For instance, you can take driver's ed in high school in the U.S., so the only thing you have to pay for would be the small fees for taking the written driving test and also for getting your permit. :hat:

I guess we sort of wrote ourselves into a corner with [Jenna]. I guess a part of the reason is that when we first began writing the story Jenna, Charlie and Lucas were not in it as we hadn't reached those seasons yet. But then we saw the episodes with them and decided to add them to our story. They first appeared at the very end of episode three and we decided to keep them away from the plots at Southfork. In the revised version we wrote them in earlier. But their plots still has to remain separate from the rest of the Ewings until the moment we originally had them interact, which will happen in episode 12.
Very interesting to know all of this! :gotcha: Thanks for sharing! :d1:

I guess the reason Jenna won't go to Southfork though is because she's avoiding Bobby...
Yikes! :( If Jenna still has a thing for Bobby and/or still holds a grudge against him for following his heart's desires, then ... ... ... I guess that I should feel sorry for her, but honestly, I'd feel much more sorry for Ray! :(

Thank you for the feedback everyone. :)

Sanda, you are right that Margaret and Rebecca were just being kids in this scene and they did deserve getting caught and so did we!
You see a funny tidbit, this scene was written in the summer of 1995 and was inspired by real life. You see just like Margaret and Rebecca, Jenny aged 12 and myself aged 15 were caught sampling our grandma's chocolates!
The comment about the candy paper on the floor without candy in it was actually something our grandma said when she lectured us! :giggle:

Ms Southworth,
I'm delighted that you are so happy about the new episode kicking off! :)
I'm glad you think we wrote Miss Ellie just perfectly in this scene.

The titel of episode 11 is interesting! :) I wonder if there is going to be a masquerade ball at Southfork? I have no doubt that Christopher's first serious crush is coming up, and I'm looking forward to it! :jolly: I really hope that he will find a sweet girl and also that he'll know how to treat her right!

There will be a masquerade at Southfork yes, but it won't be a ball.
Also you don't need to worry about Christopher's dating. He is not John Ross. So yeah I think/hope you will like the girl he's about to meet... ;)

Two of the photos makes me think that perhaps we'll be visiting Disney World or Disney Land in this episode! Perhaps Bobby and Pam and their children will be taking a trip to Los Angeles?

Sorry to confuse you but no they won't go to Disneyland or Disneyworld in this episode. The Disney figures are just there to symbolize some of the costumes that people will dress out as for the masquerade party at Southfork! ;)

Correct about Afton, the man she is seen with in the photo is Mario. But let me remind you that they can't get married until they get his parents approval and that they are going to visit with his family when Christopher is having his birthday party...

:hat:

I can't remember the exact cost right now and it does depend upon how many lessons at a driver's school you need to take. I think those were very expensive like 60 dollars/hour. But if you had practise driven with your parents or another adult at home it got cheaper as then you didn't need many lessons. There were however also costs involved with the three tests you had to take to get your driver's license. The first was a slippery road test, the second was a written exam on traffic rules and the third was the actual driving with an instructor that graded you and gave you a pass or fail.

I was lucky and passed all three tests on my first try. So I'll estimate that my driver's license cost somewhere around 1000-1500 dollars all together.

Yikes! :( If Jenna still has a thing for Bobby and/or still holds a grudge against him for following his heart's desires, then ... ... ... I guess that I should feel sorry for her, but honestly, I'd feel much more sorry for Ray! :(

Well I think the show made it quite clear that Ray and Jenna was a rebound match. Meaning that Ray still had feelings for Donna and Jenna still had feelings for Bobby. So Jenna and Ray would not have gotten married at all if they hadn't been abandoned by Bobby and Donna.

Also I think Jenna is justified to feel some resentment towards Bobby for abandoning Lucas.

Okay the update will follow in the next post...

Downtown in a shopping mall were Jenna, Lucas and Martha out grocery shopping. Jenna and Martha were standing over by the vegetables. Martha asked, “Anything else?”

“Yes cucumber,” Jenna replied. Then she turned around to put down the tomatoes in her shopping cart, only to notice that her shopping cart was not there and neither was Lucas. Jenna looked around in panic, “Where’s Lucas?”

“I don’t know he was here a minute ago,” Martha replied.

“Oh where have that kid run off to now,” Jenna said angrily.

“Oh My God this is not good. What if something’s happened to him?” Martha asked worried. “He could be kidnapped, what shall we do?”

“Oh don’t worry,” Jenna brushed it off. “I’m sure he’s fine. I bet you we’ll find him in the toy section, looking at cars, come on,” Jenna reasoned and they began to walk towards the toy department. However on the way they met up with Lucas who rounded a corner of a shelf. He was pushing an over loaded shopping cart in front of him. Jenna and Martha stared at all the porridge cartoons in the cart.

“Hi Mommy!”

“Lucas, what are you doing?” Jenna scolded her son, “ you know better than to wander off by yourself!”

“Sorry mommy,” Lucas apologized. “It’s just that I don’t want vegetables. I want porridge!”

“What in the world for?” Jenna asked. “You’ve never eaten that before!”

“Well I wanted to try it!”

“In that case you buy one box, not a whole cart. Now put those boxes back!”

“But I need these boxes,” Lucas whined.

“Why?”

“Because if I buy twenty boxes of porridge and send in the coupons in the back of the box I’ll get this electric car!” Lucas smiled and pointed at a photograph of a car on the back of the box.

Jenna sighed, “Lucas, we’re not buying those boxes, now put them back immediately!”

“But I want this car!”

“Lucas you can’t have that car because we don’t want the porridge. Now put them back!” Jenna said in a firm tone of voice and Lucas sighed, as he was defeated.

Funny to think of two teenagers being caught in this situation!!! :rlol:

I love it when you share stories like this with your "audience"! :jolly:

Sorry to confuse you but no they won't go to Disneyland or Disneyworld in this episode. The Disney figures are just there to symbolize some of the costumes that people will dress out as for the masquerade party at Southfork! ;)
I should be the one to apologize! :fp: I should have seen that one coming! :D Sorry for misinterpreting the photos! :hat:

Well I think the show made it quite clear that Ray and Jenna was a rebound match. Meaning that Ray still had feelings for Donna and Jenna still had feelings for Bobby. So Jenna and Ray would not have gotten married at all if they hadn't been abandoned by Bobby and Donna.

Also I think Jenna is justified to feel some resentment towards Bobby for abandoning Lucas.
Jenna didn't leave Bobby any choice, when she confessed that she was still in love with him (even though she was married to Ray at the time).

I don't see it as abandonment, when Bobby chose to back off. Instead, I interpret it as true love to both his son and his brother. It wouldn't be in Lucas' best interest to be at the center of all this commotion, especially at a time when Jenna obviously still was hung up on Bobby! For Bobby to "give" his son to his brother to raise was very selfless of Bobby, IMO!

In general, the same goes for parents who give up their child for adoption, because they realize that their child will be better off being raised by someone else! I have the outmost respect for people who are able to act so selflessly!

You mention that both Ray and Jenna were "abandoned" by Donna and Bobby, respectively! It is my firm belief that you are not abandoned just because your partner breaks up with you. You may feel defeated and heartbroken, but that's an entirely different thing! And like I said, if Jenna is still stuck in the past, it is not a healthy thing!

Funny update from the grocery store! :giggle: Yet, it was a bit short! :(

I'm guessing that Lucas wanted to buy hot cereal? It can be a very healthy breakfast if you make it from scratch (and cut sugar to an absolute minimum)! Jenna probably fed it to Lucas when he was a baby, but I'm guessing that he can't remember that at all! (I still enjoy eating hot cereal (made from Quaker's Oats) as do my children!)

Hilarious that it had to be a choice between veggies and porridge (or hot cereal)! :Clol: Typical behavior for children to beg their parents to buy a particular product, so they can get a "treat"! And for Lucas, it had to be an electric car, of course! :D

My own parenting style is exactly like Jenna's in this case! :) You have to let your child know who's the boss! :yep:

Please update soon! :best:

PS. Is it possible to get a double "scoop" when the scenes are really short?

Thank you for the feedback Ms Southworth. :)

Well Lucas wanted porridge:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porridge

However it says here that hot cereal is an american word for it. But porridge or oatmeal are also words for the same thing. Anyway I do eat that for breakfast myself on most days. :)

Of course Lucas wanted to get the electric car treat. :D
I'm glad that you for once approved of Jenna's parenting skills...

There might be a double scoop on some days when there's a short scene. ;)

Okay so here's tonight's update:

Out on the freeway were Lucy and Mitch driving. They were on their way to the doctor’s since today was finally the day when Mitch could take his cast off. But this was not a pleasant drive for them since they were in the middle of an argument about last night. “Mitch I don’t see what you are so upset about?” Lucy said. “I told you I was late because I was taking John Ross out for coffee!”

“I don’t mind you spending time with your cousin and getting coffee. What I do mind is that the kid was drunk!”

“Yeah well, I told him not to drink!”

“The kid’s sixteen, think he’ll listen to you?!” Mitch said sarcastically.

“Well…”

“Come on Lucy. Letting a sixteen year old into a night club is like begging for trouble. They are bound to get drunk!”

“Okay, okay but it wasn’t that bad. Nothing happened!” Lucy defended herself.

“But it could have. Do you have any idea how many cases of alcohol poisoning we get in at the hospital?” Mitch said seriously. “And it’s mostly teenagers. Not to talk about all the drunk drivers and…”

“But John Ross didn’t drive. I did!”

“Still covering for him was completely irresponsible! The kids got a problem and his parents’ needs to know about it.”

Lucy sighed, “Mitch he’s my cousin.”

“Still doesn’t make it right,” Mitch said and Lucy sighed again, silently cursing her cousin for putting her in this situation.

Sorry, I was just trying to imagine what to look for at the supermarket! :embarrass: I don't think that I've ever seen porridge boxes on the shelves of a U.S. supermarket!

I'm glad that you for once approved of Jenna's parenting skills...
I thought you would! :hat:

There might be a double scoop on some days when there's a short scene. ;)
And the first three scenes of episode 11 aren't in the category of being "short"? :confuse:

I guess that I (and other readers of your amazing fanfic) need to do some more sucking up! :D

Anyway, you're just 12 views short of reaching the magical 60,000 views! Congratulations are in order! :ny8: :j1: :cb:

Great scene with Lucy and Mitch! :jolly:

You know, I identified with Mitch 100 percent in this scene! :gotcha: It might just as well have been me who had said all the wise words coming out of his mouth:
  • “I don’t mind you spending time with your cousin and getting coffee. What I do mind is that the kid was drunk!”
  • “The kid’s sixteen, think he’ll listen to you?!”
  • “Come on Lucy. Letting a sixteen year old into a night club is like begging for trouble. They are bound to get drunk!” :fp:
  • “... ... Do you have any idea how many cases of alcohol poisoning we get in at the hospital? And it’s mostly teenagers. Not to talk about all the drunk drivers and…” :a2:
  • “Still covering for him was completely irresponsible! The kids got a problem and his parents’ needs to know about it.”. :frustration:

I like to enjoy a glass of wine, a cold beer, or a nice drink, but I've never been into heavy drinking like Lucy or John Ross! Thus, I can relate to Mitch's point of view much more! :yep:

Please update soon! :best:

IMO, this episode needs a bit more speed and action, so I'm secretly praying for a lengthy update that will sort of "set the stage" for the rest of this episode! ;)

Great updates Karin!:) I still enjoy reading your story daily because I miss original Dallas. :):(I love the first nine years of original Dallas.:) I am not a fan of the last 4 years of original Dallas without Pam.:( I don't blame Mitch for being upset with Lucy for helping John Ross by taking him to a local night club so he could get plastered.:( Mitch is also right, that Lucy should have told John Ross's parents about what happened with John Ross at the night club.:) I also hope that Lucy and Mitch make up soon in your story. :)

Thank you everyone for the feedback on my story. It's much appreciated as always. :)

Ms Southworth, thank you for congratulating me on the 60 000 views. Wow! It really sounds like a lot. :)
You know I don't think they sell porridge boxes in the super market over here either. You have to buy the ingredients and make your own. But well I guess when we wrote this we thought kind of like if you buy a corn flakes box and collect the cupons to get a treat. But we didn't want to make it corn flakes boxes as it's funnier with porridge.

I'm really glad that you could relate to Mitch's POV.

And the first three scenes of episode 11 aren't in the category of being "short"? :confuse:

Well I'd say they are of medium lenght. Not long but there are some even shorter updates... ;)

IMO, this episode needs a bit more speed and action, so I'm secretly praying for a lengthy update that will sort of "set the stage" for the rest of this episode! ;)

Seems like you are in luck as today's update is both longer and does "set the stage" for the rest of the episode... ;)

Sanda, I also miss the original Dallas, so I am glad that you think this story stays true to it. :)
It's true that Mitch is acting like the responsible adult in this situation whereas Lucy tried to hard to act like John Ross' friend...

Anyway on to today's update:

Christopher knocked on John Ross door, “John Ross, are you up?” When there was no answer he opened the door and whistled at the funky smell inside.

John Ross pulled his pillow over his head mumbling, “What do you want?”

“It’s time to get up!”

“Just ten more minutes.”

“John Ross it’s eleven o’clock. People are wondering where you are!”

“Sleeping,” John Ross mumbled.

“Yeah well grandma told me to wake you. I would have been here sooner if cousin Lucy hadn’t said you needed to sleep.”

“Um…” John Ross tired head popped up from under the pillow. “What else did she say?”

“That she took you out for coffee after the movie so it got real late.”

“Good old cousin Lucy,” John Ross smiled before he touched his forehead grinning badly.

“What’s wrong with you?” Christopher asked.

John Ross sighed, “I’ve got a hung-over man. Can you keep your voice down?”

Christopher looked questioning at John Ross, “Were you drinking at the club?”

John Ross sighed, “Well I hadn’t planned on it. But Paula bought me a few drinks!” John Ross explained. “I couldn’t say no!”

Christopher shook his head, “You’re crazy.”

“Just crazy about her,” John Ross said. “Oh and by the way she’s coming to your party on Saturday.”

“Really?!” Christopher looked surprised. “She’s coming here?” John Ross nodded and Christopher looked confused. “But I thought she didn’t like the Ewings.”

“Well she like this Ew…” John Ross face turned white as the truth dawned on him! If Paula comes to Chris party she will find out who my parents are and then I can surely kiss her goodbye! John Ross swallowed. “Oh no!” John Ross groaned. “What am I gonna do?” John Ross panicked. “She can’t see my parents!”

“Well I don’t know how you’re gonna avoid it unless you dress them out!”

John Ross snapped his fingers. “That’s it. Chris you’re gonna have a masquerade.”

Christopher looked at John Ross like he had completely lost his mind. “No way I don’t want any dorky masquerade.”

“Oh come on man. It’s the only way I can keep Paula from recognizing my dad as J.R Ewing. Please?” John Ross begged.

Christopher sighed, “All right, I’ll ask my parents.”

“Thanks man.”

“Sure.” Christopher turned to leave but then he stopped saying, “Wait a minute. You said that I was your brother. I’m not gonna play your brother on my birthday party!”

“All right I’ll tell her I mixed things up and that you are my cousin, happy?”

“Yeah, but what am I gonna be dressed as?” Christopher asked. “I don’t want to look like a dork!”

“Just dress up as a cowboy,” John Ross said.

“Good idea I’ll do that.”

“Yeah, yeah whatever!” John Ross said unenthusiastically and as Christopher left the room he pulled the pillow back over his head intending to sleep at least another hour!

In U.S. grocery stores, you can buy so many different kinds of hot cereal in boxes, i.e. hot cereal with various flavors:

For instance, you can get Quaker Instant Oatmeal in these varieties:
  • Original
  • Apple and Cranberries
  • Apple and Cinnamon
  • Cinnamon and Spice
  • Dinosauer Eggs
  • Fruit and Cream Variety Pack
  • Maple and Brown Sugar
  • Strawberries and Cream
  • Raisins and Spice
  • Raisin, Date, and Walnut
  • Peaches and Cream

Thus, your idea of Lucas wanting to buy a cart full of hot cereal boxes (because he wants the coupons on the back of the boxes) makes perfect sense! :spinning:

Thanks for the feedback Ms Southworth. Yeah you are right considering all the different porridge flavours there are in the US the idea of Lucas buying all those boxes to get the car does make sense. Even though Jenna of course doesn't wanna buy them since she knows that nobody will eat them! :giggle:

Okay so here's tonight's update:

Pam was sunbathing on an inflatable lilo in the Southfork pool while Bobby was swimming with Margaret and Rebecca. He instructed them, “And then you’ll turn the inflatable lilo around and…”

“Mommy falls into the water!” Rebecca exclaimed happily.

“No she doesn’t!” Pam opened her eyes and flipped around giving Bobby a strict look. “Don’t teach the children your tricks!”

“Hey don’t be a bore mommy. We’re just playing!” Rebecca pouted.

“I’m sorry Aunt Pam, we’ll behave!” Margaret apologized.

Pam was about to go back to her sunbathing when she spotted Christopher coming out of the house. “Hi Chris,” Pam called out.

“You wanna join us?” Bobby asked.

“No, can I talk to you and mom for a bit?” Christopher asked.

“Sure,” Pam said, sitting up on the inflatable lilo dipping her feet into the water.

“What’s up son?” Bobby asked, before swimming into the edge of the pool.

“Well it’s about the party. I’ve changed my mind. I want a masquerade instead of a pool party.”

Bobby and Pam dropped their chins while the kids cheered, “Yeah a masquerade!”

“Masquerade?” Pam asked.

“Yeah,” Christopher nodded.

“What’s going on?” Bobby asked. “Why do you want a masquerade?” Bobby didn’t get it. “Then you have to dress out and look like a dork!”

“Yeah but pool party is so ordinary. I want a masquerade because it’s different. Please?” Christopher pleaded.

“No I don’t think so son,” Bobby shook his head. “It will be too much trouble changing everything now.”

“Oh but please daddy,” Rebecca pleaded. “A masquerade would be so much fun!”

“Yeah it’s a perfect idea cousin Christopher,” Margaret agreed.

“Thanks,” Christopher said before turning to Pam. “So what do you think mom?”

“Well it could be fun. So if it’s what you really want, I’m all for it!”

“It is,” Christopher reassured her. “I really want to have a masquerade this year!”

“Alright, then it’s decided,” Pam said and the kids cheered.

“Thanks mom, I’ll go call all my guests to let them know!” Christopher ran back into the house and Pam laid down on her inflatable lilo again.

Bobby who looked displeased swam over to Pam and said, “Well thank you very much. You could at least have asked my opinion before you promised him to have a masquerade!”

“I know, but Bobby he wanted it so much and I want this birthday party to be perfect for him.”

“Yeah I know but a masquerade?” Bobby sighed. “We’re gonna have to dress up!”

“I know and I can think of quite a few things to dress you in,” Pam said teasingly.

“Oh I’m gonna get you for that,” Bobby said, whereas he turned the inflatable lilo around so Pam fell into the water. Margaret and Rebecca clapped their hands and giggled.

“Way to go daddy!” Rebecca screamed delighted.

A totally wet Pam surfaced and screamed, “Bobby James Ewing, was that really necessary?”

He grinned teasingly at her “Yes, consider it payback!”

“Oh you!” Pam splashed water at Bobby before he wrapped his arms around her.

“Come here!” He smiled, before he kissed her and before long they were making out in the pool, making their daughter giggle delightedly, as she watched them, since she just knew that her parents loved each other and that made Rebecca feel happy.

Cute updates Karin!:) Bobby and Pam are so cute together with their family.:) I can't believe that John Ross roped Christopher into having a masquerade party for his birthday so he could hide his girlfriend Paula from his parents. :):(I really hope John Ross's scheme backfires on him and that JR and Sue Ellen find out about Paula and about John Ross's under age drinking at the local night club the other night so he doesn't getting into an accident in the near future while driving drunk.:(

Honestly, I thought that I'd posted my review about John Ross and Christopher already, but I just found it "tucked away" as a draft! :confuse: Sorry about that, but better late than never, right? ;)

Great update about the morning after! I really enjoyed John Ross and Christopher's talk! :) Also, this update DID set the stage for the rest of the episode, thank you very much! :love7:

I chuckled quite a few times during my read:
  • "... ... whistled at the funky smell inside."
  • “Good old cousin Lucy!” :giggle:

Funny dialog between the two cousins:
  • “You’re crazy.”.
  • "Just crazy about her. ... :love5:... ... Oh and by the way she’s coming to your party on Saturday.” :D
  • “Really?! She’s coming here? But I thought she didn’t like the Ewings.”
  • “Well she like this Ew… :) ... Oh no! ... :eck: ... What am I gonna do? She can’t see my parents!” :fp:
  • “Well I don’t know how you’re gonna avoid it unless you dress them out!”
  • “That’s it. Chris you’re gonna have a masquerade.” :yep:
  • “No way I don’t want any dorky masquerade.” :mo:
  • “Oh come on man. It’s the only way I can keep Paula from recognizing my dad as J.R Ewing. Please?” :innocent:
  • “All right, I’ll ask my parents.” :hat:
It'll be interesting to find out, if Paula is able to connect the dots between the Ewing name and Southfork Ranch! And also what her reaction is going to be when John Ross tells her that he made a "mistake" (o_O) when he referred to Christopher as his brother! Maybe Christopher will be the one with all the luck with the girls? :p

Please update soon! :best:

Outstanding update from the Southfork pool area! :love6: It had the unique "Dallas" atmosphere (or whatever you wanna call it) written all over it! :j1: Thus, I'm very pleased! :jolly: 10 out of 10 points! :best:

Great dialogue overall! :gotcha: Great descriptions! :d1:And I chuckled from the very beginning: :giggle:
  • “And then you’ll turn the inflatable lilo around and…” :D
  • “Mommy falls into the water!” :spinning:

Margaret stayed in character, (of course)!

This sentence said it all: "Bobby and Pam dropped their chins while the kids cheered, “Yeah a masquerade!” :rlol: :Clol:

I can understand why Bobby initially said "no" to changing the theme of his son's birthday just days before the event is to take place. It is a lot of work planning a party! Yet Bobby has not been taking part in the party planning, so all he has to do is to find a costume! :giggle:

I can fully understand why Pam wants to comply with her son's wishes! She's missed out on so much of his life and just wants (within limits, of course) to make her son happy! :love3:

Hmmm ... I wonder what outfit Bobby should pick out (according to his fiancée)!

Nice of Bobby to flip the inflatable lilo around! :D I can easily picture the whole thing before my eyes! :) Loved the giggling girls! And needless to say, I loved the happy ending with hugs and kisses! :love1:I'm thrilled for Christopher and Rebecca! Sadly, it's not a given to have parents who are so much in love and not afraid to show it! :love6:

I can't wait for the next update! :best:

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I am glad that you're still enjoying this story. :)

Sanda, yeah Bobby and Pam and their kids are cute.
Then as for if John Ross' scheme will be successful or not, well stay tuned and you will see...

Miss Southworth, yeah you got exactly what you asked for in the update in the sense that it did set the stage for the rest of the episode... ;)
Good that you found the boys conversation funny. I too can see the humor in it and although they are cousins you can see a bit of an older brother- little brother dynamics in Chris and John Ross in the sense that John Ross can influence Chris, who looks up to him, to have his party changed into a masquerade just like that. :giggle:

Honestly, I thought that I'd posted my review about John Ross and Christopher already, but I just found it "tucked away" as a draft! :confuse: Sorry about that, but better late than never, right? ;)

Right. :)

I'm glad that the pool scene pleased you. I had a feeling it would as it's all very Bobby and Pam. Some might argue that he should have outgrown his pranks in 15 years time, but for some reason I can totally picture Bobby and Pam still being this way although they are a bit older now. :rlol:

But yeah Bobby and Pam have never been afraid to show that they love each other and yeah Rebecca is at the age where she giggles delightly at their kissing while Christopher is more embarrassed like most teenagers are. But it's true not everyone has parents that loves each other that much so Rebecca and Chris are lucky in that sense.

Enough about that and on to tonight's update:

At Wade’s house, Jenna and Martha were setting the outdoor table for lunch. On the back lawn were Charlie, Randy and Lucas playing soccer. Lucas kicked the ball through the two sticks used as a goal and raised up his hands crying out, “Goal! 10 to 5! I win!”

Charlie and Randy came to a stop, catching their breaths and Randy tousled Lucas’ hair saying, “You’re really great at this kid!”

“Yeah well I’ve played for four years now!” Lucas smiled proudly.

“Well if that’s so, next time we’ll play basketball and I’ll whip your butt,” Randy said.

“You’re on!” Lucas replied.

“Fine with me as long as I don’t have to play!” Charlie smiled.

Randy put his arm around her shoulders saying, “Oh come on it’s not that bad. Exercise is good for you!”

“Please you’re starting to sound like Matt and Celine!” Charlie said and they laughed.

“Who?” Lucas asked.

“Some friends of ours from college, you met them at my graduation,” Charlie reminded her brother.

“Oh right!” Lucas remembered when their mother suddenly called out to them.

“Lunch is ready!”

“Great,” Lucas called and ran towards the table. Charlie and Randy followed him.

As Lucas sat down Jenna said, “Aha wash your hands first!”

Lucas sighed. “But mommy…”

“Now!”

Randy lifted Lucas up, throwing him over his shoulder and said, “Come on kid lets go get cleaned up!” Lucas laughed delightedly at that and Jenna smiled as she watched her kids and Randy disappear into the house.

Martha turned to Jenna saying, “You are really lucky. You have wonderful children.”

“Yes I know!”Jenna smiled.

Even though I don't care for much the storyline of the Wade's, I will admit that this was a well-written scene! :hat:
Great descriptions of the surroundings! :) And if I just imagine other characters acting out the scene itself, I was able to appreciate it much more! :embarrassed:

Nice of Randy to play soccer with Lucas (who probably misses his dad)! :yep:

I'm still puzzled about a couple of things: I wonder why Lucas' next-door "friend" isn't hanging around? Why hasn't he been invited over for lunch or dinner yet? Or for a playdate that the Wade house?
"Wash your hands!!!" :giggle: “But mommy…” :rlol: “Now!” :rolling:

Please update soon! :bowing:best:
