Did Patricia Shepherd Ever Know That Christopher Was Her Biological Grandson?

I don't think so.

I'm sure even Patricia would agree that ignorance is bliss in this case.

It's just as well she didn't find out, because even though the circumstances of Christopher's birth I wouldn't put it past her to try and sieze custody of the boy. After all that little boy was her grandson and Kristin's child. I can see her trying to take the boy off Bobby and Pam!

Thank goodness she never found out. :)

Perhaps. But on the other hand, Patricia wouldn't like her daughter to be seen in that way in the public domain. Patricia cares about "image", and Kristin lost her way to the extent of going off to California after being discovered as the shooter of J.R., getting into drugs and into a relationship with a user (Jeff Faraday), and having Jeff's child, before Kristin dies after (officially) being high on drugs, falling off a balcony, smashing her head and drowning in a swimming pool. Jeff himself died after being murdered by drug dealers.

I think it's more likely that Patricia runs a mile away from such scandals when she thinks about it.

Did Sue Ellen have to sign something in order for Bobby and Pam to adopt? In reality, Patricia, Kristin’s mother, was her legal next of kin in Texas (not Sue Ellen, her sister).

I think Sue Ellen knew better than to spill the beans about Christopher’s parentage. She knew what a meddlesome old witch her mother was. Although, wouldn’t Patricia have known that Kristin gave birth to a child? That’s the type of thing it’s hard to hide from an old nosybody like Patricia.

I believe Bobby asked Sue Ellen to sign something regarding any possible claim she could have on Christopher. This reminded Sue Ellen of JR's past bad behavior right when he was wooing her back. Signing that document for Bobby made Sue Ellen give JR the cold shoulder which made JR suspicious and led him to finding out the truth about Christopher.

I always thought Patricia not knowing was a wasted opportunity. Think about it - the DRAMA we could have had if Patricia had found out! She would hate Sue Ellen for lying - and she could have sued Bobby and Pam for custody.

Come to think of it, even on season 11, I think a custody battle for Christopher would have been better with Patricia rather than Lisa.

Absolutely. And great idea. Lisa Alden was so deadly dull. Even her name was dull. Whoever was in charge of naming new characters in the 87-88 season should have been fired (Lisa Alden, Kay Lloyd, Laurel Ellis).
