I'll probably have to steer clear of this forum once the episodes become available to the public, because I'm usually the last one to watch the episodes.
they haven't announced yet, it might be a good idea to look up Atlanta estates/mansions, since Filoli, and Ventura farms aren't being used this time.

Nothing personal, but those houses look boring. They look more like boarding schools. I actually prefer the fancier house.
I'm sold, I want that to be the new house.

They might actually do what REVENGE did with Grayson Manor and do a CGI mansion and estate based on a real house, but extended to look much bigger and extensive.

I have to admit that looks stunning. I just have a thing about "new build" mansions. They often look so dull to me. The grounds and the gardens and pool and terraces are very DYNASTY. That could work. I Also like that the house is in it's own secluded little world and far beyond it you can see the soaring towers of Atlanta.

For me they have that solid always been there look that Fil0li had. They have a past, and the house should have a past. If the house has no past then the characters don't have one. You can get mileage out of a house with history. If it went up 10 or 20 years ago it has no past or history and is just there.

They could never recreate any of those interiors on a CW budget in studios in Atlanta.

I think the Tyler Perry house could be the one. It has it's own underground ballroom! They could do the wedding there. It was just be so weird going from that in the pilot to a crappy studio set. The Studio sets from the original show, for the mansion were probably the best sets made for a TV show ever. I know we have bitched about them. But the mansion was amazing, that library and all those rooms were so well done.

But perhaps it's old enough for this new Dynasty family? If that house was built in 1990, then it's still old enough to have some history.
I mean, I'm not sure how relevant the 1960s are in this story.

I found this photo on the Instagram / Twitter accounts of the actress Maria Lopez who might have a bit role in the pilot - she's the one who posted that short BTS video from the wedding scene in the pilot you may recall from another thread.
She wrote "this is the gown for the set of DYNASTY" above this photo, so I'm assuming that could be the mansion in the background (unless she's wearing the same dress on another set). Does anyone recognize this house?
