Hacks has been one of my favourite TV sitcoms since it was first broadcast so it was fitting that after 47 episodes over 5 seasons, last night's finale was one of the best conclusions to a series I've seen in a long time. The series follows fictional stand up comic Deborah Vance who is persuaded by her agent to take on young write Ava to help her produce new material for her act.
I had mixed feelings about the series coming to an end because although I will miss it, I'm glad it was able to go out on a high before the stories and jokes got stale and the show out-stayed its welcome. If fact, the standard remained consistently high throughout and laugh out loud funny until the end.
