Maher has always been stubbornly pro Israel. He's also always been Islamophobic. Wouldn't surprise me to see Maher and Laura Loomer go on tour together at this point.
Nearly all the mainstream media in America is unrelentingly pro-Israel no matter what (and quite Islamophobic), and the use of even the word "genocide" to describe genocide is verboten (as long as Israel is committing it, and America is facilitating it).
Some of the most astute critics over here of Israeli policy are American Jews, but they get smeared as "self-hating" for their candor.
But the media and both political aisles are utterly bought-out and/or blackmailed by Zionist donors. (Which is what the Epstein Files stuff is about). And if you start to reverse on your previously-!00%-approval of Israel and everything it does, you wind up in serious trouble, silenced, sexually exposed, your yacht repossessed, and called "an antisemite". (Or you get Charlie Kirked, and yet another patsy assigned the blame).
Which is a key reason they're attempting to control the Internet and independent media: to prevent the flow of more accurate information that may not flatter and justify Israel totally.
