An interesting title. Some have already suggested we could end up with Liz Gillies playing both Fallon and Alexis. Thoughts?

I don't want Liz Gillies in a dual role... although...

:lmao: I am reminded of the old thread "Caption This!" before the forum crashed: someone took screenshots of the scene from S8 of Fallon, wearing a blonde wig, talking with Steven. They had it so that Emma Samms was explaining to Jack Coleman how they were now making her play both Fallon and Amanda. I also remember, after Jack sent a zinger Emma's way, she shot back with, "You gaybot!"

It would combine the Steven and Rita storylines, but it would also mean a lot of work for Liz Gillies, not to mention the hassle of the split screen recording - it would be a logistical nightmare.

At this point with a S3 guarantee, they'd have nothing to lose though. They probably bank on S3 (or possibly S4 due to Netflix dues as others have said) being the end of the show. Personally I really hope they don't do this but I could easily see them doing it - it's nuts enough for Peach Dynasty to do.

Let's hope that's not going to be the writer's attitude, CWDynasty is in a good place at the moment.
I agree, it would be a hilarious OTT twist, but only for a moment. They could do it if they knew there wasn't going to be a season 3, kinda like the UFO on The Colbys.
I think we've been given misleading clues because they expected it to become a fan's guessing game.

Actually the Shapiros (especially Richard) stupidly banked on the premise that with such a cliffhanger, the network would have to bring them back next season in some form to resolve it.

Maybe, I don't know, it seems painfully optimistic. It would be Moldavia all over again.
These things just don't work in soaps, but it's fun to end the series with a Big Bang.

Which they did... just not on "The Colbys". So to some degree his plan even worked, although not completly as intended. :D

I hate recastings, but I think I would hate the idea of Elizabeth Gilles (no matter how much I love her), playing a dual role as Alexis, even more. They should've had Alexis go into a coma for the time being. Doesn't this episode not air for another couple of weeks?

This show is stealing plots away from the mother of all soaps, "Soap". In one of the seasons, Burt Campbell was kidnapped by a UFO (ahem...this was copied by "The Colbys" later...) and his alien counterpart was put in his place. No need to say that the latter was hypersexual...Another Rita precedent...

IMO, it would be the worst mistake ever. I already get annoyed at how much airtime Fallon hogs when more than half of it is just nonsense anyways. Doubling that would likely turn me off completely from the show. It's too OTT and digs Dynasty a bigger grave by making an even bigger mockery of the Dynasty universe's (arguably) most popular asset - Alexis!

Correct. April 19 in the U.S.A. Speaking of which can someone explain why the constant breaks between episodes. Clearly something is up in the American domestic market I'm not familiar with so I'm hoping one of my smart soapchaters from the States can fill me in.

These constant breaks - I believe - actually harm a series...think TNT Dallas.

Not necessarily. I'm sure the producers could just pop across the hall and have the teams responsible for producing many of The CW's supernatural or super action series CGI effects come up with something for Peach Dynasty :D....to save money. I'm thinking something along the lines like.....

The thought of two Fallons running around bitching at each other just does NOTHING for me.

I'm thinking it would be a bizarre plot and ultimately a creative challenge for Liz Gillies..if done right. Liz playing Alexis has to somehow prove to her daughter Fallon (played by Liz) she is a changed woman, not only physically but emotionally after the fire. The plot is so out there it could be brilliant. Also. Didn't Jeff once have a thing for Fallon? This time he kind of gets his wish except he is going to be dating Alexis (played by Liz).
