How would the Ewings celebrate Hallowe'en?

They would have a party organize by Lucy with a theme: crazed in-laws/lovers, etc. There would be masks of Kristin, Katherine, Jessica, Roger and that woman Ray slept with when Jenna was away who pulled a knife on him. They could play games such as bobbing for bullets, a fortune teller who will predict how many times JR and Sue Ellen will break up and get back together in one year, and a seance to contact Julie, Seth Stone and Kristin. Lucy will walk around making sure everyone is having a good time and making comments like, "Bobby, who are you going to tear apart tonight?", "Ray, I haven't seen you look so scared since the time you found out was your niece!", "Sue Ellen, how do you like the apple cider? Fermented enough for you?", "JR, aren't you glad you had me ripped out of Valene's arms when I was a baby so I could live with you at South Fork?"
It would be macabre and in poor taste, but Lucy would have something to do.

I would think they would have a barbecue to celebrate.

Clayton would be in Houston on business and due to return on the date of the barbecue.

Miss Ellie would take a phone call and the person would tell her that Clayton's plane crashed just as it was about to leave.

No survivors. :(

Clayton's ghost would visit Miss Ellie to say goodbye. Jock's ghost would visit her too but the face of Jock's ghost glitches between the face of Jim Davis and Steve Forrest! What on Earth could this mean? Answers on a postcard! :)

I just can’t see the Ewings celebrating Halloween. It would seem so out of place. J.R. put on a costume one time in the entire run of the show and I’m still trying to forget it. It’s the one and only reason I’m thankful for the dream explanation.

The Ewings never celebrated any holidays -- which somehow seemed right for DALLAS... But Bel Geddes turns 100 on Halloween this year!

Born on Halloween...

You're probably right buddy.

I can't see JR or Bobby playing pin the tail on the Ewing! Or dunking for apples in a bucket!

However, JR might enjoy pinning the tail on the Barnes instead although Bobby wouldn't like it especially if it's Pam he does it to! :)

I think they’d have an enormous party at Southfork with everyone dressed as Angelica Nero except Jock, who’s dressed as a giant Milky Way bar
I'd really hoped that that AI program DALL-E that everyone posts things from would do a better job than this at realizing my vision:

"the cast of Dallas at Southfork dressed as Angelica Nero "

It's that time again.

Would the Ewings have a seance? Bob for apples? Carve a jack o'lantern? Dole out candy to the neighborhood children?

Because it's not really cheesy, SALEM'S LOT (the 1979 miniseries as opposed to the butchered theatrical cut a few years later). That's why it scared you to death!

It's quite well-done, and far above the standard horror entry (for either the big screen or small) -- even though there's a lot of silly humor in it (and I don't think they should have "found" Bonnie Bedelia at the end). And it's got James Mason! And Lance 'Cute-Sad-Boy' Kerwin.

And David Soul has lost his Season 4 Hutch-ian spare tire.

Stephen King called it "Peyton Place with vampires".

I mean, what's not to love??
