Ideas for Crossovers

Do you have ideas for crossovers of the primetime soaps you would have liked? It dawned on me both Val and Maggie from Falcon Crest were writers who had works considered or made into movies. Perhaps in 1988 to 89 Sue Ellen is beyond pissed at J.R. and turns to Val and wants to turn Capricorn Crude into a movie. Val and Sue Ellen meet with Darryl Clayton, the movie producer Maggie had a bad experience with. She learns of this and reaches out to Val and Sue Ellen to warn them.

As a gag in season 12, I would have had JR meet Cally in Paradise. Paradise was a CBS series at the time, set in the 1890s, and Cally and her brothers could have turned out to be descendants of Lee Horsley's lead character in the TV show Paradise.

I would have only done a proper crossover if it would have helped Dallas. Jessica Flatcher could have traveled to the funeral of one of Clayton's friends in season 13 and shown Miss Ellie how to solve a murder mystery.

A crossover in season 13 with the new critical favorite Northern Exposure could have been interesting. Perhaps Cliff (or would JR have been a better choice?) could have traveled to Alaska in search of oil and shaken up Cicely for an episode.

I’d like to have seen a showdown between Sheriff Fenton Washburn of Braddock County and former astronaut Maurice Minnifield.

This could have worked. The whole Sue Ellen movie plot was already improbable without the implication that she was unaware that Capricorn Crude already existed.

Probably too un-Dallas, but "Conundrum" raises some interesting possibilities for alternative timelines/scenarios

Sue Ellen' life if she never met JR. She never becomes alchy, becomes a broadcaster/ newswoman on something
like Good Morning America, reports on the goings on on Knots Landing, Falcon Crest, etc.

Cliff Barnes - not a bad possible future, but even with Ewing Oil out of business, could he really forget
the whole thing? Maybe he engineered Gary's mismanagement somehow

What would the lives of Holly Harwood, Mandy Winger, Julie Gray, Sly, Phyllis, April be like?

Poor Cally - that was probably quite accurate

It did have possibilities...but Sue Ellen became an actress playing the role of newswoman in a daytime soap, not in her real new life.

I've actually thought about this. Same network so it might have been plausible. The Ewing's and the Lewis' (also an oil family) of The Guiding Light in a storyline. I'm quite certain that the Lewis' were heavily inspired by the Ewing's. Bobby-Josh, JR-Billy and Jock-HB

Reva and J.R. sharing some scenes together could’ve been a real hoot. I know she wasn’t technically a Lewis but she was married to every one of them at some point. Even J.R. wouldn’t have known what to make of her.

The Young and the Restless also had some Dallas influence in the early 1980s with the introductions of Victor Newman and his first wife Julia that lived on a horse ranch, and the Abbott family that owned a cosmetics business.
