No, I don't think so. I'd rather would have seen Bobby appear at Pam's wedding to Mark, having escaped from the claws of Katherine Wentworth. As silly as it may sound, I'd have liked it better if Bobby had died, but was revived by hospital staff (paid by Katherine) in the elevator on the way to the morgue, where Katherine was waiting for him. After his heart was beating again, Katherine and the hired staff (who'd also serve as guards to keep an eye on BobbY) would have brought Bobby to a place where he could recover... and where Katherine would keep him hostage, trying to make him fall in love with her. When Bobby was physically well again, he went along with her, pretending to fall for her, knowing it was the only way to get away some day. And that day came, when Katherine, in an unguarded moment, and really believing he had fallen for her, accidentally gave Bobby the opportunity to escape. And to Southfork he went, just in time to see Pam and Mark at the altar.
